Arden Academy: Reviews
Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with Arden School and the way it has failed my daughter, particularly in safeguarding her emotional wellbeing. The school appears to be solely focused on grades and league tables, while neglecting the holistic development and welfare of its students. The culture here has caused significant emotional distress to my daughter. I also have serious safeguarding concerns about the conduct of a teacher, and this raises a critical point: children are not safe at this school if safeguarding from their own teachers is not taken seriously. Instead of addressing these concerns transparently and appropriately, the school often undermines or victimizes parents who speak up. The narrative Arden promotes is one of academic achievement, but beneath the surface, wellbeing and emotional support are neglected. Authoritative roles are abused, and punitive measures are taken when children express their individuality or require support beyond grades. It is imperative that parents speak up and protect our children. If you are considering schools where your child can truly thrive—academically, emotionally, and safely—I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. A good education is about more than grades; it is about accountability, safeguarding, and nurturing the whole child. Sadly, Arden School does not uphold these essential values.
Fantastic experience: Excellent
Negative experience: Horrendous. No support for children with even mild additional needs causing extreme anxiety. Children face detention for totally ridiculous minor things. Bullying severe & not dealt with and swept under the rug. Really poor across the board. Would not recommend.
Negative experience: It has been forensically proven that the permanent exclusion of my child from Arden Academy was unlawful. This decision directly contradicted the Department for Education’s statutory exclusion guidance. Senior leadership spread damaging misinformation about my child which was later proven to be false. Instead of correcting the record or safeguarding a vulnerable pupil, Arden permitted lies and rumours to take hold, compounding the harm. This was a neglect of their statutory duty which requires all schools to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child in their care. The consequences have been severe and long-lasting: •My child has lost over seven months of education. •He has been vilified by peers and threatened with serious violence. •He has been physically attacked in public and continues to suffer trauma. •I, too, was physically attacked and now live with substantial injuries. •Our family was forced to leave our home for reasons of safety. •My business and livelihood have been deeply disrupted as a result of the strain and upheaval. Arden’s failures extend beyond one child. By tolerating falsehoods and neglecting safeguarding responsibilities, they created an environment where truth was abandoned and reputational protection was prioritised over pupil welfare. No school should ever place its public image above the duty to safeguard children. No parent should be left to pick up the pieces of institutional neglect. I share this because silence only protects wrongdoing. I will be seeking justice for my child, and I will continue to speak out so that no other pupil or family has to live through the failures and harm that we have endured.
Negative experience: We are sad because teachers leave us sad ):
Negative experience: Bad school never go
Negative experience: Give detention for no reason what so ever
Negative experience: Absolutely shocking they tell student of for very minor things that have nothing to do with behaviour or their education eg hair lashes nails but when it comes to other students that are close with the teaches they are allowed to wear whatever they want and have days of when they want for no reason but when a child is actually ill they have something to say about it DON NOT SEND UR CHILD HERE IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THIS SCHOOL ZERO STARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Negative experience: Rubbish
Negative experience: this school is terrible don't even think it deserves one star my child has to have been rewarded many detentions for no absolute reason I recommend finding another school as the teachers don't care less about the students I have learnt they do not Even try to help them out as j heard from my daughter that her head of year yelled at a student for crying she did nothing wrong absolutely terrible as she keeps coming down with rashes and there seems to be mold in the classes terrible school!
Negative experience: It was me Dio
Negative experience: it’s an OKAY school but not really when it comes to issues and education, the school doesn’t provide extra help for those who struggle with learning outside the classroom , the food prices are crazy, you get detentions for the littlest things, whatever makes us comfortable the school has an issue with, the toilets absolutely stink and most teachers do not allow us to go to the toilets during lessons unless if we have a pass which we aren’t allowed to get which is going against our human rights, the teachers pick on students for not understanding the work and shout at them (from personal experience) I could go on for hours being honest
Negative experience: In all the heavens and the earth, I Alone Am The Honored One. And i still died from boredom in Arden.

Negative experience: Bruh, Academy is a straight-up skibidi disaster! The lunch tastes like it came from the bottom of a dumpster, and the teachers are about as interesting as watching paint dry. Seriously, every class feels like a never-ending snooze fest. The Wi-Fi is more glitchy than a bad livestream, and don’t even get me started on the vibes—it's all drama and no fun. If you're looking for a place to level up, this is not it. Just skip it, fam! The gyatt sucks and the they only have beta teachers. Like where are the rizzler's at
Negative experience: The teachers don’t care about the students at all, my son has his head of year as his p.e teacher for a whole year and the teacher doesn’t even know his name
Negative experience: Not for students with mental health problems. For two years, I sat in the office daily, yet no one ever considered that I might need help with social support. Even during severe mental health crises—whether you're crying or feeling suicidal—they won't let you stay outside of class or go home. They clearly prioritise academic performance over student well-being. The focus here is strictly on grades, with little regard for the emotional or psychological toll it takes on students. I often felt dehumanized and invalidated. Their consistently high academic results likely stem from the privileged student body, where many have affluent or highly supportive families, rather than any unique or exceptional care offered by the school. Either way, the quality of teaching is hit or miss. Some teachers are genuinely incredible, while others can be indifferent or unsupportive. It’s a gamble.
Negative experience: Don't recommend
Negative experience: The place is an absolute joke. The only way to succeed here is to be academically gifted and at the same time have a huge friendship group to support you for when it’s your time to be relentlessly bullied by the feral rats that seem to be able to do what they like without much consequence for their actions. The schools way of dealing with this is to make a lot of noise to make you think they’re dealing with things but in reality absolutely nothing is being done then they punish the victims for not wanting to be in such a toxic environment and threaten the parents that they’ll send staff to your home to physically escort the child to school. There’s always the announcements of high grades being achieved and the school being the place to be to succeed, but in reality the high grades made by the gifted minority and attendance is all they care about. What is kept well hidden is the high number of exclusions which taints the ‘fantastic’ reputation and actually shows the type of pupils that are there, the number of young pupils who can disappear from school premises unnoticed which parents are only made aware of when the school demands to know why the pupil wasn’t in lesson registration, and the number of pupils removed from the school by parents as their only option due to being consistently failed by the school for issues like bullying, both physically and mentally, leading to serious mental health and well-being issues for the pupil. The place is marketed as one of the best of the best, but in complete reality it’s very far off that mark. If I could give zero stars I would.
Negative experience: I am seriously concerned with the fact girls skirts are now hardly viable! There are meant to be rules in place about the length to skirts but there are been ignored without and punishment to follow. A few people have commented on this and it looks awful on the school how the girls look. Some skirts level with the blazer! I think more needs to be done to clamp down on this situation.
Fantastic experience: I help a lizard
Negative experience: Get detentions for anything
Negative experience: The teachers are great but the teaching criteria is all over the place and half the time we don't know what we are doing.
Fantastic experience: AMAZING would recommend this school and the village surrounding the school is so beautiful.

Negative experience: Studied there for years and they just made me sad, there are like 2 good teachers

Fantastic experience: Great grades and teachers. You do not get detentions for litterally doing anything. And great teaching facilities. Love it here
Negative experience: Don’t go there, they’ll kick you out for anything
