Negative experience: I was originally here to do an IT course however i wasn't told much upon enrolment. Teacher didn't show up to the lesson and i had attendance issues related to my sleep issues only to get a message from the tutor stating they had no record of me being enrolled onto my course. I later left the college. Your a disorganized college with poor management of lessons and tutors. Given it took a week for the course tutor to show up, i was appauled.

Negative experience: If I could rate it less than 1 star I would . Absolutely awful. Incompetent teaching 90% of the time, lack of security is laughable, they actually let UNQUALIFIED teachers teach a subject and then what’s funnier is teachers who would come and teach our course left after a week or realizing how BAD this place is. Don’t go here they promise a lot of false things.

Negative experience: The tutors go above and beyond for their students, extremely helpful. However, the college management are unfit for purpose and they only care about money. Cases of academic misconduct are ignored by management. Tutors raise their concerns and their managers choose to ignore those concerns and award cheating students with their qualifications! Makes a mockery of working hard to gain your qualifications. Just have AI complete your work and get awarded the highest grades! The college must receive extra funding for every qualification issued, hence management turning a blind eye to cheating

Negative experience: Really disorganised college. When I went there for an open evening I was told they would get me an apprenticeship after Christmas, then when January came I asked about it and they said they don't know what I'm talking about however, other lads in my class said they were promised the same thing. I've been messed about all year with the lack of teachers and even when the teachers decided to show up they didn't have a clue what they were doing. Teachers don't tell you if they're not coming in so I have to get the bus all the way to college then go straight back home because the teacher isn't coming in. I've had 6 different teachers this year, none of them lasting more than 2 months. Me and other students in my class have complained about a tutor several times because he can't teach and they have done nothing about it. When we were revising for a test 2 days before the exam he said "sorry guys I forgot to teach you this". I am now going into my final exams unprepared because I have not been taught the things I need to know. I would not recommend this college to anyone.

Negative experience: Lack of communication. Went to an open evening where I was told there was places available on the course. Didn’t hear back so rang and left a voice message and filled out an application online. Time wasters

Negative experience: Well I had already waited a year to get on an apprenticeship, And they told me to sign some documents and come in to enrol. "We weren't expecting any apprenticeships" I was told. I let it slide. I applied for a course instead. They filled up, annoyed but understanding i waited another year because they promised to put me forward next year, I received an email saying we're full up again... two Years I've wasted waiting to get an education in something that makes me happy. What a joke this College has become.

Negative experience: Truly a horrid place full of some of the most despicable people this world has to offer I had three years there and in that time I was abused by teachers who are there to teach you and keep you safe. I was constantly being harassed and reprimanded at the slightest mistake in my work and never being helped by the people there to teach me. The fact the walls are littered with anti bullying posters and the teachers are the ones doing 100% of the bullying should tell you everything you need to know about this vile vile place . It’s been 4 years and I am still not over what I suffered at the hands of these monsters.

Fantastic experience: 5 ⭐ Teachers, modern huge building. College and university. Great Central location. For all ages they provide education. Short and long term courses. Perfectly welcome student and visitors with disabilities (learning and physical), allocated restrooms, lift, entrance and car park for wheelchair users. Very clean building. In the morning the car park is not free- you can register your car though and in tgat case you can use it anytime , but after 4 pm you can use for free of charge.

Negative experience: One tutor in particular known as 'mags' was Awful to me, she seemed to speak to me and some others worse than I would speak to a dog?

Negative experience: such a shame they don’t do a level courses otherwise i would’ve applied here.

Negative experience: This college is a mess and poorly managed. Enrolled in in 4 different courses , filled their application forms and did tests. Then no feedback at all. Did one course before, till now I'm chasing them to get my certificate but no success. I don't advise any body to go there, waste of time and money.

Positive experience: Hi, just to say the Post person dropped a Prospectus off for the second day this week. I'm not going to use it anyway.I handed it back for someone else. Seems an expensive way to attract students. regards Ian ps same this Yr too ?

Negative experience: Trying to get hold of tutors to get advice about courses is a nightmare , been trying for 4 weeks , 2 different tutors no one can be bothered to email back

Negative experience: Started a level 3 counselling course and after atending 2 sessions i then had to withdraw from the course. I contacted the college to make them aware and they said that the tutor would be notified. Nearly 3 weeks on im being inundated with emails about applying for student loans, ive recieved a phone call from someone called kieran who knew nothing about me withdrawing. Ive since been told its because the course tutor has not withdrew me from the system so im still showing as live. Ive emailed the tutor who did reply back but im still continuing to recieve messages. Its very poor and nobody seems able enough to withdraw someone from a course, it appears to be a very lenghty process for such a small thing. Needs better organisation.

Negative experience: Unorganised, a few good staff fighting an abysmal management regime. Lack of planning or clarity, years old course content, poor facilities.

Negative experience: Absolute joke of a place always going on about adult courses yet never have any spaces to go on them.

Fantastic experience: Earned recognition in 2013 by nomination for Pride of St Helens (representing outstanding academic achievement). Enrolled back in 2018 and love it more than ever

Negative experience: Awful college, finished a floristry course about 2 years ago and still not got my folder after I’ve been chasing them up for it. They don’t even have the decency to ring you back either. They only want you to pass the course so it looks good for them. Wouldn’t bother going here.

Fantastic experience: I'm not a student , but I do use the salon for having my hair cut, blow Dry and coloured. No matter which class I go in I'm always treated very respectful by all students and staff. I know the students are learning but they do a marvellous job no matter what style I have done. It stays in for at least 4 to 5 days especially the curly blow Dry and for the price it's a great service. I've been to a few outside hairdressers when the college is closed and paid 4 times that I pay at college for it to fall out as soon as I leave the shop. The students don't get enough praise on here that they deserve.

Fantastic experience: Amazing course love the lecturers. Very supportive and care about their students. They want everyone to do well. Lovely nursery for children and take babies from birth. Thank you for everything and your continued support. Im studying Btec Level 3 Animal Management and CMI Level 5. Thoroughly enjoying the course.

Negative experience: I payed in full for a course which was due to start nov 2018. 1 week before start date i was emailed to say the course had been cancelled. Still no course start date now in jan 2019. In the very difficult process of trying to get my money back. Will not use the college in the future. Shocking service
