Beyond the academic quality, the multicultural atmosphere has significantly increased my confidence in speaking English. Fantastic experience: When I first arrived at International House, I was a bit worried about what the school would be like. But from the very first day, I realized that the environment was truly special! The teachers, staff, reception team, and students were all incredibly supportive and welcoming. My first impression changed within just a few minutes. I started in the B1 class with Steph as my teacher. She was extremely helpful and kind, and after just one month, I noticed a big improvement in my English. Because of that progress, I was moved up to the B2 class, where I stayed for about four months. During that time, I met so many students from all over the world, with different backgrounds and cultures—it really changed the way I see the world. My teachers in B2 were Andy and Phoebe, and they were both amazing. They taught me everything I needed, and what I really loved about them was their cheerful and positive energy. I never felt bored in class. Even outside the lessons, they were always there to support me—whether it was something academic or personal. They made me feel confident, comfortable, and always motivated to keep learning. After four months in B2, I moved up to the C1 class. It was definitely challenging, but I tried my best, and my English kept improving day by day. I also want to give a big thank you to Caroline, the director of the school. she always made time for me when I needed support. Just knowing she was there made me feel more at home. In the end, I just want to say how grateful I am to be a part of this amazing family. Thank you to all the teachers : Andy , Phoebe and Steph for believing in me and helping me grow. And thank you Caroline, for creating such a special and supportive place. These were some of the best days of my life, and I’ll always carry them with me.

The school is also very nice, with many classrooms and everything you could possibly need (printer, books, areas to study...). They organise many weekly activities and trips around the UK. The course was intense and comprehensive, and the instructors were incredibly helpful. There was plenty of support throughout, both on the course and afterwards when it came to providing references. CELTA changed my life and the wonderful staff at IH Newcastle were an integral part in making it happen.

Fantastic experience: The support throughout and after has been phenomenal. The course is intense but the tutors and input sessions guide you through it. The knowledge and feedback from the tutors is second to none. The whole school is warm and inviting and all staff are willing to help you. Fantastic experience: I spent 3 weeks at the IH School and I will definitely recommend it. With Simon as my teacher, I have made great improvements on my English. Not only did he help to enhance my current English level, but he also managed to keep the lesson compelling so that we made sure we don't miss any classes. Keep Simon in your school at all costs! He is an exceptional and talented teacher with discipline and knows what's best for his students during the CPE preparation exam. I also want to outline what a great academic Director you have in your school. Caroline is very attentive and asked me on a regular basis how my studies are going, even though the school was overcrowded with students. This is some sort of service, which should be applied to many institutions when it comes to business. I'll definitely come back, if I have to.

I’ve done a few courses here, from Personal Methodology Programme and CLIL to DELTA Preparation Course, which are very positive! The teachers are very knowledgeable and always give me constructive input. Rachel and Simon have delivered all lessons engagingly with invaluable information to develop my skills and knowledge. Although I was sometimes overwhelmed with many terms and ideas, Rachel and Simon were always willing to help me understand the input through thorough and clear explanations or by guiding me to discover relevant resources. Negative experience: I think it's a really expensive academy, I went there for one week and the prices are crazy even I paid more because they offered 1h extra with the computer. I thought someone will be there teaching us, the hour was basically being on your own on a computer. Also I was learning more in the free classes with lovely people that are in training. I asked them a question and as I said £500 was too much for 10h and I couldn't afford it...in a politely way and asked them for other options, they don't reply anymore to me. So even if no one will care, this is my bad review about this establishment If I use this place is because there are not many options in Newcastle or places that you can do official exams an centric, they know it and use it for their benefit.

Fantastic experience: The CELTA training course for English teachers is very intense with tutors giving extensive feedback on teaching sessions. Also, if you are an English language student, there are free English classes during the CELTA training sessions.

Positive experience: I’d like to say thank you IH for the great time I had with you I enjoyed my time, I met good people, I made friends and another family, but I have to put my feelings aside to give an honest evaluation. I can say that IH is good at several things: 1- They have great teachers 2- They have a good environment, not the best but one of them 3- They have excellent preparation for the Exams like IELTS… etc 4- It’s a good place to start your English journey as a beginner because of the environment and the teachers But on the other hand, there are several things that I found it bad: 1- Going to the next level is depending on the availability of chairs at that level even if you are ready to move. 2- you may be placed at a level that is not yours 3- The cover teacher is one of the worst things not because the teachers may not be well trained but because they don’t know the student's level so they will take time to go into the rhythm. 4- The PSP room is almost old and needs to be updated 5- They don’t have a curriculum they give some copies of pepper 6- They used to give me a progress sheet for the first 3 weeks but no more after these weeks I’m on the fence about the host families and the timetable however, I had one of the best times in my whole life there, and one of the good things was the reception at IH was so friendly they treat you like a friend not a student even some of the teachers. Thank you IH

One more thing, some of the ladies are not cooperative with me and with some students and when I asked them to change my timetable or something else they didn’t do and they did that for some students they knew them. Before I gave them my financial letter they treat me well after that everything has changed In my opinion If you want to learn E and be in a good school go away from this school.

Fantastic experience: معهد إنترناشيونال هاوي يعتبر من افضل المعاهد لدراسة اللغة الانجليزية. درست عندهم من بداية فبراير 2011 الى فبراير 2012. خلال هذي السنة ولله الحمد تعلمت اللغة وانا مستمتع. وابشركم بعد دراسة قرابة 10 شهور اختبرت ILETS والحمدالله اخذت 6.5 فا الا حاب يدرس حتى لو فترة الصبف لا يفوتكم المعهد. عندهم كمان برامج ترفيه خلال كامل ايام الاسبوع. رحلات بحرية وبرية كمان واماكن عديدة جميلة. والعديدة من الذكريات الجميلة والا اتمنى تعود الايام واعيشها مرة اخرى. كل الحب لمعهد IH Newcastle

Fantastic experience: I was studying at the International house for about 3 months. Firstly I stayed with a host family in a suburb of Newcastle and after that in the student accommodation "Newcastle one." The idea was to experiences both to find out which suited me best. At least both options had their advantages. I made the best progress while staying with the host family as they spoke perfect English to me the whole time I was there. I changed after 1.5 months to the student accommodation Newcastle one. It was completely different compared to the host family. Most of my school mates were staying at Newcastle one. We had a common kitchen where we cooked a lot of international food. Also, the common room was a place to be. There was a pool table, sofas, a PlayStation and you could play table tennis. Every Monday there was a welcome party which was organized by the school's social program. From that, it was easy to meet new people and see a lot of beautiful places all around Newcastle. The school itself was very well organized. Everyone was so helpful and kind. One of the teachers knew that I like climbing and surfing and she wrote several addresses and places all around Newcastle. The reception which is also the main office was the perfect place to search for information, help or for booking a school trip for the weekends. I attended a basic English course at school. The topics were extremely wide-ranged. All of the teachers were native speakers. They tried to teach us English with a lot of passion. That made the lessons very interesting and variant. The size of the classes was pretty small and the teacher helped you with any problems. One of the most important points for me was a good mix of a lot of different nationalities at school. I didn´t want to go to the UK to speak German. In my entire time in Newcastle was only a handful of German-speaking people. And from the beginning, we spoke in English, because everyone had the same goal to improve their English. At last, I want to highly recommend everyone a language school at IH Newcastle. I had an unforgettable experience and met so many amazing people there. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic experience: I have been to international house 3 times and each one was better the the one before the stuff were amazing and helpful specially Caroline the head teacher You don’t have to worry about visiting newcastle without having any idea about where to go and what to do Because in INH they have social programs that let you discover a lot of places in newcastle or outside newcastle So I highly recommended for anyone looking for English school and actually if you are interested to learn another language they have different languages classes

Fantastic experience: I have spent the most wonderful time in my life at the IH once I have started my studies abroad. Great staff being more than a family to me and our relationship stands as best friends till today.
