Spanish Lessons in Inverness

Fantastic experience: Came to class a beginner …other than trying duolingo during lockdown. I am amazed how much I have learned in such a short time with jorge He has taken us through the language we would need if we were travelling to Spain, phrases we could use daily in our travels. Would highly recommend Jorge ….an excellent teacher , very patient with beginners like me!

Fantastic experience: I'm currently taking Spanish lessons at one of Jorge's classes in Inverness. He is an excellent tutor and we have fun during the class, he keeps it lighthearted! We all get a chance to practice during class and we get homework!! . Highly recommend Jorge.

Fantastic experience: I am on week four of the beginners course and have found Jorges teaching excellent. The class atmosphere is relaxed and as a native speaker Jorge is particularly good at explaining which phrases and words are used in daily life. Worksheets and audio files are clear and complement the face to face classes. 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: It took me no time at all to realise that Jorge was a real teacher with properly structured techniques to aid learning in a relaxed atmosphere; better than anything I’d experienced before and I felt that I really would learn to speak Spanish this time.

Fantastic experience: I'm in my seventies, and I was looking for an activity to occupy some of my leisure time. I spotted the ad, learn spanish locally. I joined the course a complete novice and was very impressed with tutor Jorge and his teaching methods. He has an affable way of making the lessons simplified. I have only been to 3 classes and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to learn spanish, "go for it."

Fantastic experience: I have been studying Spanish for four years now as I was keen to learn the language and I thought it might be an appropriate time to start exercising my brain. It was, however, my first academic learning in decades and I was apprehensive about my chances of success. After the first lesson, however, I was “hooked”! Jorge is a great teacher, always cheerful, with the most unbelievable patience and time for every “pupil” and he even makes grammar (both Spanish and English) seem interesting! Classes are always friendly, relaxed, humorously interactive and enjoyable and in moments of “down time” we also learn about the culture, cuisine and history of the country. Despite being far from fluent, my grasp of the language has considerably exceeded my expectations (entirely due to the teaching) and I now look forward with justified confidence to my travels in Spain. I would highly recommend anyone wishing to learn Spanish to join Jorge’s classes.

Fantastic experience: These lessons in Spanish are conducted in a very friendly environment and will enable students of whatever age to converse easily in the language which, of course, adds greatly to the enjoyment of any proposed holiday in a Spanish speaking country. Jorge is a great teacher , amusing and well able to get across the usage and finer points of the language. I can fully recommend them to anyone with a view to learning Spanish.

It has to be good for me to make the 60 mile round trip to attend his classes, especially on a cold winter night!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to classes since 2018 and find them enjoyable and informative. My knowledge of English grammar isn't fantastic (!) but Jorge is patient in repeating the relevant sections as required. The acid test was when visiting parts of Argentina where no English was spoken being able to converse even a little bit made our holiday so much more enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending the classes.

Fantastic experience: I much enjoyed the experience. Jorge has an engaging manner, a sense of humour which combine to make learning from him a pleasure. Unfortunately for me as, probably, the oldest member of the class I find that my recall is so appalling that when it comes to speaking, my memory fails me and I clam up!! However my vocabulary has greatly improved and I can read and understand the language much better. I will be happy to renew my learning in the latter part of the year.

Fantastic experience: If you have ever thought it would be good to be able to speak another language or, if now retired, you wish to keep your mind active, I can highly recommend learning Spanish. It is a lovely language with many words similar to those in English and Jorge is just the best teacher. He is patient and kind with a great sense of humour and never makes us feel awkward or daft even when we get it wrong but encourages us in our endeavours. He has become a friend to all of us students as we laugh and learn together.
