Negative experience: من افشل المعاهد تقييمي لهم صفر من 5 لعدة اسباب أولاً جودة التعليم ضعيفة ، ثانياً همهم الأساس المال لا يهم الحضور و الغياب لقد كنت معهم في شهر اغسطس الماضي استمريت لمدة شهر كامل و لم استفيد أي شيء أنصح بمن يرغب بتطوير لغته التوجه إلى المعهد الآخر English in York فهو أفضل بمراحل و أرخص من حيث التكلفة و مكانهم أكبر و يوجد مكان للاستراحة و شرب الشاي و القهوة و يوجد أنشطة يومان بالاسبوع ، لقد خدعت حينما ذهبت إلى BSC و للعلم لديهم نظام في حال أردت سحب أموالك يخصمون عليك 4 أسابيع من أموالك و أنا شخصياً أدين لهم بالمال من السنة الماضية إلى الآن لم استرجعهم

Fantastic experience: An Unforgettable Month at BSC York A Golden Experience in Our 60s My wife and I traveled from Turin, Italy, to spend the entire month of May studying at BSC York. It was a wonderful challenge that turned into an unforgettable adventure. Leaving our comfort zone and our car behind, we lived like true "Yorkshire citizens"—even getting our own public library cards! The School & Staff BSC York is perfectly located in the city center, near the Minster and the National Railway Museum. The atmosphere created by the staff is exceptional: • Tim (Director): Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He even took us on a walking tour of the Shambles, sharing the city’s history with great passion. • Rebecca: A precise and methodical teacher who excelled at grammar, reading, and writing. • Olga: Dynamic and fast-paced, focusing on idioms, phrasal verbs, and the challenge of public speaking. • Tania: So kind and fluent, she led us to the best parks, tea rooms, and hidden spots in the city. Breaking the Age Barrier We stayed in student accommodation with a private kitchen and bathroom. Initially, we wondered if being in our 60s would feel strange among 20-year-olds from Japan, Chile, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. However, the age gap became imperceptible. We became a true group. We played mini-golf, visited the Yorkshire Dales and Whitby, and shared tea. By the end, the younger students were affectionately calling us "Uncle Giancarlo" and "Aunt Anna Maria." In fact, two of them are visiting us in Turin this June! Final Thoughts If you are thinking about an English immersion later in life, do it. We returned home to our local English course as "explorers" with stories to tell. Thank you to everyone at BSC York for your kindness and for making us feel so welcome. We left with a little sadness, but with hearts full of memories.

Fantastic experience: I studied at this language school for about one month, and all of the teachers here are very kind and supportive. They helped me not only with my learning in class but also with practical matters in daily life, including reviewing my CV and giving me valuable advice. I am truly very grateful for their support. Special thanks to Ash and Tim for all the guidance and suggestions they gave me, which helped me find a job while I was here. Overall, I felt very happy studying here, and it has been a wonderful memory and a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I remember with great pleasure the period I spent in York with BSC team. For a person of a certain age, like me, it was a challenging experience spending time with young people and the stuff of BSC was wonderful to help me to make myself comfortable in the young group of students. Lessons were useful and funny at the same time, I appreciated especially the double lessons, one more traditional with Rebecca and after it, the other one with Olga who expanded the content and improved our understanding, a very great idea! I appreciated also the social activities in the afternoon with Tania, in which I could practice the English language in a funny way with other students. I loved Tim and all the stuff, because they are welcoming and always readying to give you advice about everything you need in your everyday life. Summing it all up, there are a lot of good reasons for studying in BSC York school!

Negative experience: A year ago, my children were unable to attend the BSC football camp in Manchester due to visa refusals. Despite the camp being fully prepaid and BSC initially agreeing to a full refund, we have NOT received our money yet. For 12 months, we’ve faced nothing but delays and silence. Emails go unanswered, calls are ignored, and every request for an update leads to empty promises. This level of disregard for customers is unacceptable. I urge BSC to process the refund immediately—this is not just about the money, but about basic accountability. To other parents considering this camp: beware. Until BSC demonstrates they can resolve such issues, think twice before trusting them with your payments.

Fantastic experience: The school is very nice, the teachers are friendly, and they strive to improve your skills and language level. The location of the school is excellent, close to the center. The IELTS lessons are very helpful and have improved my skills.

Fantastic experience: One of the best schools in England! I attended a TOEFL course and I can truly say they have all the tools you need to learn effectively, even after your course ends. The teachers are extremely professional and patient. Also, the area is very peaceful, full of culture and beautiful architecture. I highly recommend it!

Negative experience: DO NOT FALL into the good reviews and ratings of BSC York as they are bunch of crooks who dupe people with their fraud. They did not refund our money for the accomodation we paid upfront even though we were given a refund acceptance message because we had to cancel our attendance due to health reasons. It has been 6 months,since Dec'23 since we were running after our money and they have been giving us a run-around and we could not get our money back. If you dont want to waste your money and time, do not go to this language school, period!!

Positive experience: I stated in BSC York 3 month ago. In my opinion it’s not a bad college but the admissions team told me that there are very few Arab students , but after I came I saw a lot of student are Arabs. Why this behavior?

Negative experience: My visa was refused. I uploaded the full amount to the school, and now no refund has been made to my account. Although more than 60 days have passed ! ! !

Negative experience: Please before you choose this school read what I write. 1-This school won't care about developing a language. It'll just care about how you pay and take your money. 2-Every teacher there and teaching method will never find a common link and their education is always poor. 3-I was shocked there when I arrived and lost a lot of money. Know many like me. 4-During the decision to return early, they told me they would return my remaining sums, but unfortunately after 4 months no one replies to my calls or emails It's like a regular monument. 5-I have audio and written conversations for them if you want anything to communicate with me.

Negative experience: My CELTA course was cancelled and a refund offered. However I've been waiting two months now for that refund to come through and I can't get an update on why. I wonder whether they are financially stable and therefore reluctant to refund fees.

Negative experience: All refunds take more than a year. I protested all year, but I didn't get any response, and I suddenly got a refund without an apology. I'm very disappointed with the worst customer response.

Negative experience: I was supposed to study here 4 weeks from April to May but couldn’t make it because someone close to me was in the hospital. I asked for a refund but never heard from them which is crazy because I paid more than 2000 euros for an accomodation and english lessons !!! They didnt even refund at least half of what I paid, nothing !!! A small gesture would have been really nice ! This is not ok because what was I supposed to do ? Come anyway even if someone could have died I was so excited to study there but now I am just really disappointed. I dont recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I finished my study (General English 20AM for 16.6 hrs a week) in BSC York recently (in 2020). I recommend you to join the classes too, haha I didn't get any pay for leaving positive comments here. Just because the experience was so great and I really enjoyed studying in BSC York. The school provides social activities every weekday, so you can meet friends there ( especially conversation club, it's a good time to practice your spoken English too ). Home stay is a nice choice if you only have limited budget because it's cheaper and also special. My host mom is a nice person and cooked me traditional cuisine for dinner :-) . I love everyone in BSC York. If you see this comment, what I wanna say is just Miss you guys soooo MUCH!!!

Fantastic experience: I studied at BSC in 2009, and it was an extraordinary experience. I have had 30 days in the institute in the summertime; during my study, I was staying with a British family who they are more than awesome. I remember that we were studying in a beautiful place near by the museum, I know that studying a new language is not an easy task for many people, but it worth it. I recommend to invest and use your time to get the best of it wherever and whenever you are. Best, Khaled

Negative experience: Actually it was not a good experience at all, unfortunately, this place doesn’t care to your educational benefit as much as the financial returns . First of all, almost all classes absolutely packed with students, so don’t be surprised if you are with a group of 14 students in the same classroom , which makes it difficult for me to interact more with the teacher . I had an intensive English course for 3 months in this school and I had to move to another school because I was bullied by an English teacher in the same school. where he made all of my fellow students laugh at me by saying a “rude-sexual” joke ( take the stick out of your back si.. ) because of my pronunciation and I wasn’t used to using a lot of contractions while I was speaking at that time as a student in intermediate level . Moreover, because I was using a lot of formal English at that time he used to breathe down on my neck and interrupted me while I was speaking.As a result of that I went really through the rough because In doing so I found that weakens my confidence while am speaking and try not to use this kind of vocabulary. All you know that, as we are second language learners, it’s hard for us to divide the language into two parts, one for speaking (informal)and one for writing (formal) and what we care about, is to improve our language whether it's formal or informal speech, isn't it? I reported what happened with me to the academic office and there wasn’t serious enough about what I endured. This was my terrible experience in this place and really I regretted remaining and wasting my time there.

They've got a lot of teachers who will put all the effort to make you learn in the best way ( specially Joy) and also the staff is helpful, Sarah and Emily are such friendly people ☺️. I've studied there for almost 6 months and I can say that I've increased tremendously my knowledge and I feel comfortable about my English.

Our lessons were really funny and productive. At the same time, the teachers were very nice and they helped you with every question.
