Thistley Hough Academy: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place for a child's development.
Positive experience: Could do better !!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place for a child's development.
Negative experience: School going downhill in teaching skills teachers disscussing student behaviour out side the school and wen I rang up spoke to the principle about this issue it was swept under the carpet just blind eye it.
Negative experience: Horrible place to go to and constent bullying around the place and if you don't have a pen or pencil they make you sit and reflect for a day the teachers have no clue of what their doing around there!!
Fantastic experience: we had a problem at school and, surprisingly, the support, quick help, reassurance of teachers to solve,
Negative experience: this school has traumitased and i will not be sending my children there racisct!
Negative experience: As a really concerned adult, who's partners kids go to this so called school, I am wondering how the school stays open. If you have another school in your catchment area, I would strongly suggest you send your kids there instead.
Negative experience: Worst 5 years of my life. I pity everyone who currently goes to or will go to this school. Computer science was ok though. If you find yourself going to this school, don't despair. It gets better after about 5 years. (see att. room 309 english classroom)
Fantastic experience: Absaloutly amazing school! Would highly recomened.
Positive experience: Good: Looks nice Mr Moran (and Miss Davis) Updated computers Variety of BTEC courses Multicultural community Bad: Poor substitute teacher coordination Lack of behavior control Fighting is constant Little club variety beyond sports Many under-qualified teachers These 4 years have been incredibly mediocre
Fantastic experience: This school is amazing
Negative experience: Allows bullying and fails to protect their students!!
Fantastic experience: I go this school and all teachers are nice and teachers help when you have problems and it's on of the best schools I've been to
Negative experience: Bullying in school should not be allowed, shame on the teachers here for turning a blind eye
Negative experience: The school is ignoring bullying, children don't feel safe.
Negative experience: shame the staff seem to turn a blind eye to the bullying. shame on you all
Negative experience: This school supports bullies not the victims. My granddaughter is being mercilessly bullied and nothing is done despite visits. Letters and emails go unanswered. She had to be taken out of school during exam time for her own protection. Stand up to Bullying! Find another school to keep your child safe. This matter is going further. We will not let up.
Negative experience: A school's most important responsibility is to protect the physical and psychological well-being of its students. No child can learn in an environment in which they do not feel safe. Knowing as we now do the deep psychological impact bullying has on a child, it is appalling how little interest this school has regarding this issue.
Negative experience: This school turns a blind eye towards bullying. Do not under any circumstances allow your child to be educated here. I have had to remove my daughter from the school due to constant abuse. I have had ZERO contact from the school in this matter despite several emails and letters sent. The Principal is enept. Do your child a favour and choose a more respectable shcool.
Negative experience: This is a dreadful school with a heartless principle. She'd rather cover up the bullying happening under her leadership than admit that bullying has taken place against students of her academy and take action. Bullying can have lasting mental health affects on a child but the bullies have been left to carry on in order to save the principles reputation. Disgusting.
Negative experience: A young girl has had to be removed from this school because of bullying and the parent has not yet had a single response from anyone at the school about it. This is completely unacceptable. She deserves much better from her education system.
Positive experience: Very good school but behaviour of minority is very bad. Fights between gangs is nothing new but things improve. Romanian and czech new to education causes latest problems
Positive experience: Blame the parents of the bullies...not the school!! I went to this school got brill grades and was never bullied even though I was the fat kid!! All schools have their bad eggs.
Negative experience: Allica
Positive experience: Can't faulty the school as it's amazing but the students behaviour let this place down.
Fantastic experience: It is awesomeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
