Negative experience: Listen my child for I shall tell you a story. A story engulfed in foolishness... There was once 2 fools Andy and Bru now these too had quite the distinct names. Some would feel the need to even speak their names. The result? These two men would chase you and punish you! They would lecture you, isolate you and even right your name in a notebook! It's quite humorous right? What a world we live in...

Negative experience: Bullied from the end of year8 and school did seemingly very little throughout most of it. Tried to get a move out they said i needed some sort of application wjich they claimed would do and promised i would have mkved by the start of y11 and yet im doing my gcse's there. Was shushed when i asked about this application and as it turned out they never submitted even though i was told they had. Now there are some pros to the school like a select few staff amd the grounds are nice. However with that being said i would strongly advise against semding your kids there especially if they have a disability like myself

Positive experience: This is a new review . I will write longer this time because I can, my views have changed slightly, but not improved. But first of all I want to address something. In year 7 I made a review that was slightly negative and they got me out of Science lesson and Forced me to change it. That should be illegal tbh. Im gonna do a review of every subject in this Maths - I sweat it but like i'm year 9 this stuff is too easy and why am I in a class with people that aren't... well.... at my level. Either they have magically changed from smart to not as smart (not saying they're dumb) it's almost like they have just plopped a bunch of students together in a class. English - I'm rubbish at English but The teachers don't help me and also WHY DO GRADE US USING GCSE MARK SCHEME LIKE DO YOU WANT US TO FAIL. Overall its a decent subject because we watch films that aren't even that bad.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t bother sending my dogs here for obedience training. You may as well send your kids to Waterloo road and they would get a better education. They cannot be bothered to reply to emails or return phone calls and then they will fail your child time and time again. They don’t care, they don’t give damn, they break GDPR, lie and cover it up. There’s the odd exception to the rule for decent staff but sooner or later they will suck the life out of those people too at the same time as your child. Don’t send your children here. Send them ANYWHERE apart from here. They are more bothered about the uniform than caring and safeguarding your children. Leadership team is not fit for purpose. The school is failing children in every way possible just when I think they can’t find another way to steal my child they exceed my expectations and fails, and even worse than they did the first time. Save your child, five years of bother in misery. And find another school for your children. They can’t even be bothered to contact official child. Safeguarding agencies back, so any parent without any kind of network in place outside of themselves is totally doomed. They fail children and just about every way. They can possibly fail them and then some.

Negative experience: The only reason why im giving it a single star instead of leaving it blank is because theres no other option. The school is awful, nothing is done about bullying and the food is ridicuously expensive. Needs improvement drastically. The "TEAMS" program they use is terrible, assignments dont get uploaded till late which often gets students in trouble for no reason. The teachers on multiple occasions have told students to shut up and sometimes have sworn. Awful.

Fantastic experience: If I were to describe Clayton Hall Academy in three words, I would say: safe, educational and welcoming. It not only gives 1000 students a great place to learn, but gives many oppotunities of achieving awards from the Duke of Edingburgh award to many prizes that are given through our yearly award evenings. As well as this there are many calm places around school, such as the library. Places like these make the scenic surroundings more worth while.

Rey Fairclough Published on Google 6 years ago

Negative experience: Oh dear, not impressed.... i was in the school's library chilling on one of only two bean bags. I was quietly speaking to my friends having our typical banter and reading a spot of quality british literature. All of a sudden a year 10 nuisance came over to us, he targeted me specifically. He began to throw books at my HEAD (possibly damaging school property) i put the books back while he sat next to us. I was attempting to signal one of many library prefects but it was no use. He then retrieved a small bottle of lemonade from he bag. Again i tried to get the attention of a prefect by raising my hand. By the time a prefect had come the year 10 student had already taken a sip of his beverage i explain to the prefect what the student had done (bear in mind the strict no eating or drinking policy) the prefect did not care about the offence that the student had commited even after the student took a sip of lemonade in front of the prefect testing their boundries. I tried to reason with the prefect but it was no use. In the end me and my friends got kicked out of the library due to the silly antics of another student. 0/10 ign. :(

Negative experience: Bullying is out of control. I would also like to know how prefects are selected! I would hope that they were selected for exemplary behaviour but I doubt that considering the bullying also stems from that direction!!!!

Connor Hulme Published on Google 6 years ago

Negative experience: one thing that clearly needs some work is the security, i know personally that our gates are far from "secure" as many of the other reviews have put it. I've personally escaped this school once so i can assure you it's far from difficult to get in and out. In addition, the school has on repeated occasions informed its students to write positive reviews to hide such facts. it's uncertain to me whether these 5 star reviews are legitimate or not. there are too many things that need to change for this to be a 5 star worthy school.

Positive experience: I've definitely had my fair shares of ups and downs at this school. Mostly it's a really nice place to be, nice teachers and rooms and stuff, but I need to pick at some stuff because to be fair some of it is ridiculous. First off, the smart-start thing is an absolute joke. I get that we're supposed to have the right equipment, but if we need to lend a pen or ruler at some point, we get sanctioned? It doesn't seem fair. Also the corridors and staircases need something done about them; The amount of times I've seen someone fall down them, get pushed and shoved, and slide down the banister is crazy. I suggest putting either staff or prefects there because it's getting seriously out of control. Other than that, I think Clayton Hall Academy is generally a nice school to be in, bullying is dealt with effectively and quickly, poor behaviour is sanctioned nicely, and all apart from the above mentioned is good. In total I give Clayton Hall Academy three stars. :)

Danielle Hughes Published on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: I went to this school did nothing about bullying and did nothing about a teacher bullying me to the point where I got that depressed I almost ended my own life the rules were appalling they didn't let me go to check my diabetic blood glucose as and when needed plus the fact a teacher almost made me loose my life because I had keytones in my system and said the fact I wasn't ill enough to go home that my mum almost had to call an ambulance as soon as I got home is ridiculous and if you needed the toilet you was made to wait this school is an absolute joke and should have been shut down years ago

Fantastic experience: Clayton is a really cool place to be . I enjoy it because of all the sports that are available ! There are clubs before school , during lunch and after school every day . The learning is very good , each lesson is fun yet you are always learning something new , I feel very safe when I'm walking round the school as there is very rarely . Anyway if there is bullying the teachers deal with it very quickly .

Fantastic experience: I like Clayton Hall Academy's subjects such as science, tech and art. These are just a few awesome subjects from a whole host of activities. All the P.E staff help keep all students healthy and, even normal curriculum subjects have more to offer than primary say for instance English, you get library lessons where you get to read books and do quizzes. And there are clubs that you can come to of a wide variety.

Ben Wilson Published on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: I like Clayton Hall Academy because it's got good teachers that always give you feedback and help you if you are stuck. I feel safe here because if anything goes wrong you will always have someone to help you. there is always things to do in Clayton for after school and during school like: football on the astro-turf table tennis and music lesson it is a good school to go to.

Jack Gosling Published on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: Clayton is an ace school some of the staff are great and there is plenty of extra curriculum clubs taking place in the morning, at lunch and after 3:15. They are building New unisex toilets, that should be done soon, and then there is the sports facilities as there is the astro turf, the gym, the sports hall, the football pitches and a cross country track around the school.

Keeley Guest Published on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: Freddie Guest Clayton high school is a secondary school for everyone year 7-11. There are many awesome clubs to do before, at lunch and after school like climbing, football and volleyball. Also there is limited bullying and if there is, it is dealt with quickly.

Zhengxin Lu Published on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: I enjoy Clayton Hall Academy as it provides a host of new activities in the curriculum such as technology , a new range of extra curricular clubs ,opportunities to learn new skills and instruments in musical tuition. Clayton hall has also innovated facilities such as the toilets as well as ensuring that during heat waves students stay fully hydrated by purchasing new and improved water fountains. The AstroTurf is also a valid aspect as it means sports sessions will not be hindered or dependant on the weather.
