Fantastic experience: I took individual private Spanish tuition with Angie and found it to be very beneficial. She hosts in-person sessions in a dedicated area of her house and uses of a range of methods to enable students to improve their Spanish. We had as much impromptu conversation as my level would allow, as well as focussing on formal learning of Spanish through reading, listening and watching exercises. The writing aspect was addressed through weekly homework tasks. Angie tailored a programme given my basic knowledge (A2) and objective of using Spanish on an upcoming holiday. I improved my level in our time together to B1 proficiency and gained confidence in conversing with a native Spanish speaker. Angie was both generous with her time and open to questions and suggestions. She gave encouragement and praise and I enjoyed her company as a tutor and friend. ¡Que el futuro te depare mucho éxito, Angie!

Fantastic experience: Have been doing weekly Spanish beginner classes with Angie for nearly 3 months now and it has been great! The classes are fun and contain a nice mix of material! It’s also nice to learn with other students from Watford. I have made great progress learning Spanish from scratch (i could not even count to ten) in 3 months , now I am miles ahead where I was before starting… and getting excited for travelling to South America ! Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish with Angie for many many years and have truly enjoyed every lesson. I have done a mixture of face to face and online lessons as well as 1-1 and group sessions and can honestly say they are fabulous. Angie has clearly put so much time and effort into the resources she uses, her explanations of grammar and overall making the lessons fun! We have scheduled meet ups to get to know our groups more and have an opportunity to practice Spanish with like minded people. In every lesson Angie ensures that everyone gets the chance to speak, listen, read and write and gives honest feedback to help us improve. Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish with Angie for almost six years now. Angie is very passionate about teaching Spanish and always finds a way of making the lessons interesting. What I love most about her classes is the variety of material she sends us from books suitable for our level to Spanish songs and recorded conversations of native Spanish speakers. This means that apart from learning grammar we get to practice our reading & listening skills. As we are a small group of only 3 students, we get ample of opportunity to speak. Two years ago when my daughter said that she wanted to learn Spanish, I had no hesitation in recommending Angie. When it comes to teaching Spanish, Angie leaves no stone unturned. I would highly recommend her classes.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing Spanish lessons for several weeks. Angie (the teacher) is very warm and welcoming to all participants. The style of the lessons are informal and relaxed. Angie encourages everyone in the class to participate. She is very supportive and uses different teaching styles which creates a great learning environment. Fantastic experience: When I retired I decided to try to learn Spanish to keep my brain active and because I was hoping to travel to South America. Along with my sister we started in March 2024 with Angie as our teacher. I have never had any aptitude for learning languages, however Angie has been absolutely brilliant with us. She is endlessly patient and encourages and motivates us really well. I really enjoy the lessons and the work in between. As well as being a great teacher Angie is such a nice and considerate person and has organised a number of get togethers for her students giving us the opportunity to meet and share experiences. I would highly recommend her to anyone local who is considering learning Spanish.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been studying with Angie for nearly 6 months now and I can honestly say she’s been the best teacher! She’s brilliant at what she does and I actually feel that I can now hold (even if a basic one) conversation in Spanish. In the classes you really learn how to hold conversations in Spanish rather than just the grammar (although we do have to learn that too!). Angie is so encouraging and all our classes are fun and my group of classmates are great, we all support one another and have fun whilst learning. Our lessons consist of verbal, written and listening and are varied every class, even though we are all learning something new it never feels like hard work. I couldn’t recommend Angie more - she’s amazing! :)

Fantastic experience: I found Angie back in around 2018/2019 and started in a group. My girlfriend then wanted to join so left the group and we had a class with just the three of us. This was in a classroom environment. I had to stop my classes as I worked away a lot in the summer so the learning flow was lost. Then came the CV19 Lockdowns. I got back in touch with Angie about coming back in around 2024. She told me she was doing everything via Zoom now which was popular. I must say I wasn’t too keen on that template as I’d rather be in a classroom. My own state of mind thing I guess. I kind of felt the classroom environment said to my inner self “time to work and focus”. I declined. However after a while I thought I’d give the Zoom option a try with a new group. It actually works and I might add really helps with work and being in various locations. I still work away during the summer but as long as I’m available and have internet connectivity then I can still be involved with my group! I also spent some time in Tenerife over the winter last year and I was still involved from there too. I’m not the best at learning anything tbh and I find Spanish a challenge, but a rewarding one. I’m not the fastest learner but I’m learning! And my group are great guys. Plus Angie sets up face to face meetings a couple of times a year so last week I got to meet some of my group face to face which was great as we’d only ever seen each other via Zoom. Angie is friendly, happy, jolly and fun. Which makes the whole learning experience great. And I’m very happy to be involved. ☺️☺️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking lessons with Angie for a while now and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more. I can proudly say that I haven’t missed a single lesson since September 2024 when I started. She’s such a great teacher — funny, encouraging, and makes every class super enjoyable. Everybody is super flexible and even though we have a set time and day for the lessons, there’s always the option to be moved to other time/date to fit everybody’s schedule which is a big plus. The lessons are always a good time, not just because of Angie, but also because the people in the group are amazing. We have a lot of laughs and the vibe is just really positive. What I love is that we’re constantly being pushed just enough to keep improving, but never in a stressful way. There’s no pressure, just friendly motivation to keep stepping out of your comfort zone — and that’s exactly how you learn. I’ve studied other languages before and I can honestly say this is the best kind of environment for it. The lessons are really varied too — we do all kinds of exercises, both written and verbal, listen to recorded conversations to get used to hearing Spanish, freely talk, ask questions, explore curiosities, and so many other things. It never feels repetitive, and there's always something new to keep it interesting. My lesson buddies are awesome, and I genuinely look forward to every single class. It’s the perfect mix of fun and progress. At this point, it honestly feels like I meet up with friends once a week and this is thanks to Angie as she has created this awesome environment.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about learning Spanish but always knew I wanted to. I just didn’t know where to begin!! I came across Learn & Talk Spanish and they have a helpful call back option to discuss more. I signed up and spoke to Angie who was very informative, listened, and considered my circumstances before discussing the different options for study. She then organised an introduction session with me. This helped me understand where I fit with my current abilities. From this I decided to join a group and have been learning for almost a year now! Fantastic experience: Angie is a wonderful teacher! She has been brilliant at matching the levels of me and my mum so that we both benefit despite being at slightly different places with our skills. The lessons are fun, informative and with time to practice lots of different skills. Within a few weeks I am already feeling much more confident with my Spanish!

Fantastic experience: I had been learning Spanish on an App but was becoming increasingly frustrated with my lack of progress. Angie was recommended to me, I had a couple of private lessons, then joined a group class and haven't looked back. The classes are great fun and having recently returned from Spain I could tell how much I had improved. Angie is an excellent teacher and I would highly recommend her.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I did not find Angie's class helpful. Her teaching style wasn't very structured and the course materials were unorganised and not good quality images. Her explanations weren't very helpful either. I was expecting a more academic approach. I noticed that a few of the other students in the class also dropped off and cancelled their sessions before me. Angie was understanding about the situation but that doesn't help the negative experience I had. Hopefully my feedback will make the class a better experience for the next group. For now I will look into another class.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending group lessons with Angie for almost a year now. At first I was a little nervous but quickly felt welcome and at ease in the group. Her lessons are well structured and the group is small enough so that everyone has plenty of opportunity to contribute and practice. Having been given Angie's contact from a neighbour, Angie has managed to transform my daughter from bottom of the class to the top of the class at one of the country's Top Grammar school within one term. I had some previous knowledge of Spanish, and Angie fitted me into one of her existing groups and the standard is just right for me. We are a small group (5 students) so Angie is able to give everyone enough personal attention. Fantastic experience: Angie's classes are great - a very good social atmosphere helping the learning - the content and subjects discussed are interesting. I have learnt a lot, the conversational vocabulary for normal daily situations is really good. You make people feel at ease and comfortable to speak Spanish in the lesson which is one of the main steps when learning a new language. Just keep going they are great!

I am an adult learner and I was a complete beginner but after only a few sessions with Angie I was able to develop a good understanding of the language and write and converse confidently in Spanish. Fantastic experience: If you want a great Spanish teacher, look no further. Angie is a native Spanish speaker who is welcoming, patient and encouraging. I have made good progress since starting as a beginner a year ago. Class sizes are small (we are a class of 4) so there is plenty opportunity to practice in class. Lessons are fun and interactive with a mixture of listening, reading writing and speaking. Grammar is clearly explained.

Fantastic experience: I always wanted to learn Spanish. So even though it’s far for me , I started going to Angie’s classes. I love the way she teaches us and she is patient with us and has a great sense of humour and a lovely personality. She is determined that we will be able to speak and I totally believe that because the way she teaches us will end up with us talking Spanish. Fantastic experience: Angie has been a great teacher in helping me with my GCSE Spanish. She is patient and uses good exercises in lessons to help me improve. She also changes the plan of the lessons depending on what I struggle with and make it easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: Angie has been a fantastic, enthusiastic and a very supportive tutor to my daughter taking her GCSE Spanish this year. Despite the fact that we asked for her help in the latter stages of my daughters GCSE exam preparation, Angie was brilliant, helping with exam technique and instilling confidence in my daughter. Fantastic experience: Having started Spanish in Year 8 I felt I was at a disadvantage since I started one year later than I did with French. The pressure of GCSEs definitely increased my stress but ever since I started with Angie at the start of Year 11 that pressure and stress turned into confidence. Angie’s a great tutor. She helped me push my consistent 8s in Spanish up to a 9 in my GCSEs. It’s true that a great deal of hard work from me was required but I know that she helped me maintain my confidence with her friendly and supportive attitude displayed throughout every lesson, especially during my exam period. I would 100% recommend Angie to anyone looking to forward their knowledge and ability in Spanish.

Fantastic experience: I am learning Spanish for pleasure and have been taking classes with Angie at Learn & Talk Spanish for a couple of years now. While the lessons are structured and progressive, the actual class always feels very informal. Angie is very easy to understand and the lessons have improved my language skills at the right speed for me. Sometimes we talk for the whole lesson in Spanish, which is always the hardest thing to do and it feels like an achievement to know that I can converse for an hour in Spanish.

The lessons are very well organised and paced at a speed that is tailored to everyone in the group! The lessons combine speaking, listening and writing tasks so this helps to improve your Spanish in every way! If you ever need to reschedule a lesson, Angie is always very helpful in trying to reschedule the lesson to suit everyone! The lessons are so much fun and I truly enjoy learning Spanish with Angie.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish with Learn & Talk Spanish for the past 9 months. The classes are small (4/5 per class) and Angie is a brilliant teacher. Angie is a very confident teacher and, as the class size is small, she tailors the classes to cover a general course of spanish as well as more specific situations and/or vocabulary more fitting to each student's lifestyle. For instance, I am a uni student so Angie has helped me learn more words and phrases linked to my studies. The classes are very welcoming and I find the pace at which we learn at perfect - Angie combines both textbook work with small games and links to current pop culture to prevent the classes become too repetitive in structure.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish with Angie for just over a year now. Each lesson is fun with a real emphasis on getting you to practice speaking vs just learning words. She is also very patient and happy to spend time on a subject until she feels you both feel ready to progress.
