Fantastic experience: I have been attending this academy since 2020, when I was made redundant during COVID and going through a very difficult period in my life. From the very beginning, they supported me not only with my learning but also on a personal level. Nicky was incredibly helpful with all the administrative documentation I needed for the government, which made a huge difference at such a stressful time. Jon, who is still my teacher, has been outstanding throughout — patient, supportive, and truly dedicated. They have always adapted my classes to fit my schedule, showing real flexibility and understanding. Thanks to them, my English has improved significantly, especially in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation, and this has positively impacted many areas of my life. Beyond being a great academy, they have created a welcoming and supportive environment that feels like more than just a place to study — it feels like a community. I am truly grateful for their help and would highly recommend them to anyone looking not only to improve their English but also to be supported along the way.

Fantastic experience: To anyone who feel anxious about leaving home and joining an international environment : don't worry. I attended ELEA twice, in 2023 and in 2024 and i truly loved every second of it. I had a blast there, i even had the chance to be House Captain on the second year which made the experience even more special. We took part in so many activities whether it was hiking or Olympics, and there was always something exciting to do. The staff are incredible and the team coordinators are amazing. Special thanks to Ellie and Erin who were so supportive and helped me a lot during my stay, especially emotionally. During my two years at ELEA, I met people from all over the world, even though most of them were from Europe. It was such a wonderful and exciting experience, and one I know I will never forget. We bonded very quickly, and I think the team-building activities played a big part in that. To everyone attending ELEA 26, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, make strong connections, and create unforgettable memories. And make sure to stay in touch with the friends you meet there — you never know when you might see them again in their home country. Fantastic experience: I've been participating in my first English webinar with the Peartree USW Team and I'm loving it. I look forward to Wednesdays so that I can be there. Fantastic experience: Peartree Languages is formed by an incredibly professional team of teachers. They show passion for their job and the lessons are always involving and full of resources. I attended free weekly webinars for more than one year and a one to one online course with Nicky, who is fantastic. Both the webinars and the private lessons helped me to improve my knowledge of the language. I am going to attend other courses and the next free webinars too. The fees are also affordable.

Fantastic experience: Since I live in Germany, I can't participate in the lessons in the school, but the free webinars which are held on a regular basis, are really great. They're fun, entertaining, and educational. It's always a pleasure to hear the teachers give away private details about life in England, history and funny anecdotes about the country and its inhabitants. The webinars are a great way to broaden your English skills and learn something new. The teachers know what they are doing and enjoy teaching. That's why these 5 stars are actually still too few. 6 to 7 would be appropriate :-)

Fantastic experience: J'ai été en formation chez PEARTREE pendant 3 semaines (du 13/08/2018 au 31/08/2018). J'ai suivi 16 heures de cours collectif (classe de 12 étudiants maximum) par semaine et 7,5 heures de cours particuliers. Fantastic experience: My experience in the school was wonderful in all respects. It started when I first contacted Tereza Tothova. My course attendance was set quickly. When I arrived at the school I found here professional and friendly staff. The course was useful and informative. I especially wanted to thank my teachers, both for morning and individual lessons. Fantastic experience: I know Peartree through working at the school as a teacher. The school has a really friendly atmosphere, with great supportive teachers. For students, I think it offers the best price and most flexibility in Cardiff. I think they still have a free grammar time/ coffee and conversation class on Fridays so if you're interested in the school that's a good way to find out more.

Fantastic experience: Ms Partridge was preparing me to my IELTS test in 2012. She is a wonderful teacher who brings out everyone's best potential. She is supportive, sets out realistic goals that are manageable to reach for all of her pupils. Alongside other smart teachers she works for our success as she has long recognised what a real asset is to speak other languages. At the time we met , I received a conditional offer at the University of South Wales. My condition was to successfully take the IELTS test and score overall 6. My score was 7 as Ms Partridge has taught me all the essential information in order to succeed and secure my offered place. For that I am eternally grateful for.

I am from Sultanate of Oman. I’m a postgraduate student at the Cardiff Metropolitan University, in an MSc Financial Management. I think Cardiff is the best place in the UK to continue my post graduate because it is a safe and secure city also the people in it are friendly. I joined the peartree school in July 2016 to improve my English. I stayed with a host family provided by the school. The families were very kindly and helpful with me. They were very close to the school. After I finished five weeks in Peartree language school in summer. I went back to my country. Then I came back at the end of October 2016 to Cardiff for four weeks in the school. Honestly, I loved it. The school staff and teachers are very kind and helpful. It has a friendly environment with all students. The school provides free morning snacks, coffee, tea, milk and free Wi-Fi access. Also, there is an hour every week called Grammar time which is free of cost and an hour called coffee time, the students sit with stuff in a nearby café to take lunch or coffee in the best way to practice English, meet the friend and make a good relationship with them. As well, I could not have forgotten the school sightseeing trips to Bristol, Bath and many places around Cardiff. Honestly, I met friends from many countries like Arabic countries, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Germany and Colombia. In future, I hope to come again to study in Peartree Language school or to say helloooo.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend everybody who is new in the city and needs to learn the language to go to Peartree Languages. It is close to the City Centre, the lessons are all very useful regardless of the level, they help you to prepare official exams, it's very cheap in comparison with other schools of languages and they care about everybody since the moment they cross the door, making them feeling important and as a part of a big family. I have been studying there for more than 6 months and I only have words of grattitude.

Fantastic experience: I went to Wales in February of 2016 to improve my English because I’m a postgraduate student in Brazil and I would like to study or work abroad in the future, the school suggested a mix of general English and IELTS classes. It was good because I learnt day by day a plenty of useful words and expressions and I learnt how IELTS works. The exercises and tests about IELTS gave me a feedback about my knowledge and now I know what I have to study more to get a good score. The level of IELTS classes is more difficult but it helps you to go ahead in the learning process. Also, it has been useful to my activities in the university because I have to read articles and to write essays in English. I stayed in a host family provided by the school in a nice place called Victoria Park. In the school the staff are very kind, my suitcase was lost in my travel to Cardiff and they helped me to solve the problem with the air company. The teachers have solid knowledge of the subject matter they are teaching. The school has a friendly environment and it's a good place to meet friends and to practice English during the break between classes or in extra activities such as lunch and sightseeing. I would like to give special thanks to my teacher Ms Uschi, to my personal tutor Ms Tereza, to Mrs Helen and to Ms Nicky! My personal experience in Cardiff was great and I will never forget it, I lived in a house of a kind lady that told me many stories about the Welsh culture and the city. There was another student in the house called Federico from Italy and we became great friends, the environment of the house was very friendly and we had good moments during the breakfasts and the dinners, we were like a family: me, my Italian brother and my Welsh mother, everything was perfect and funny! Also, I met very good friends from different parts of the world such as Turkey, Chez Republic, Japan, Middle East, France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy. I learnt many things about their life and culture and it showed me how to be a better person. The city of Cardiff is a wonderful place by its people, culture and history. You shall explore the city to enjoy your time in this place, it was only 4 weeks but I was used to live there. I hope to visit this city again and to see my friends someday, thanks Peartree!

Positive experience: I studied at Peartree language school from January to March in order to take the CAE exam. The school is very small but there's everything you need. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they always try to do the best for you. In my case, even if they don't have a CEA preparation course, they changed one of my morning lessons with an hour private class. Moreover, they organise some activities, such as a free grammar class. I strongly recommend this school for who wants to come to UK to live there but need a part-time course to improve his/her english. Moreover, the school found an accommodation for me. I stayed in a lovely family and I have still a good contact with them. Despite the cliché about the brits the food wasn't that bad. My staying was nice and after a couple of weeks I started to love Cardiff because it isn't a big city but it offers a lot of opportunities.

Fantastic experience: Hello, I arrived in Cardiff on the 15/01/2016 and stayed here for improve my english . When I arrived I was waiting for my host family Helen at the station . Helen is a very nice lady and nice do you understand very well . My host mum Helen cook very well some dishes . One day I cooked for Helen the italian pasta and she’s enjoy a lot . In my host family there is another brazilian boy the name is Guilherme. The first two week stayed at school in the Peartree Languages , where I knew nice people . The people in the school are very kind , the course is very interesting. When I finished my two weeks in the school started my work . My work is a volounteer in the British Heart Fundation , in my work I have to follow customers , answer the phone and help my colleagues . In the evening together with some guys known to school we organized some beautiful evening where we went to a pub for drink a beer or we went to the night club for dance and fun . Then I visited most places such as Cardiff Stadium of rugby , Cardiff Castle , Cardiff Bay , Llandaff Cathedral , Penarth and the City centre . Els professors estan molt qualificats i sempre hi ha bon ambient per l'escola. A més a més de les classes, es programen sortides els caps de setmana, que et serveixen per conèixer la ciutat i indrets naturals molt bonics amb la resta d'alumnes, que són de diferents nacionalitats. Fantastic experience: I have been studying in Peartree languages for several months and I am happy to say that my English improvement has been amazing. I have been learning little by little with the English General course and the FCE preparation. I really enjoyed my time and learning at the same time. The teachers teach you in different enjoyable ways, practicing all the English skills: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing, listening, etc. You can choose how many hours per week you prefer and there are different kind of courses. Every week there is a free grammar class or conversation class, very useful for everyone, where you can solve all your doubts. The teachers and the management staff are so pleasant and if you have doubts or you need to focus your improvement in any subject they will help you. They worry about your needs and in my opinion, this aspect is very positive and important. In my case, when I started studying English in Peartree my speaking and listening weren´t too good and I knew that I needed to focus these skills and they helped me with different kind of exercises and conversation classes. Thanks to my English improvement in this language school I have been the opportunity to find a job in my field, architecture. I am currently working in Cardiff and doing what I love. Before applying for architectural jobs in the UK I wasn´t able to have a fluent conversation by phone call and it was very important for me in order to find a job in my field. This week I can say that I have been my first phone call with a real client discussing about the layout of a dwelling that we are designing in my practice and I have passed the FCE thanks to the First Certificate English course in Peartree. I feel so grateful for everything! New goals and new achievements... Next aim: advanced level! I recommend Peartree to everybody who loves learning English: good teachers and staff and best people! Fantastic experience: I really recommend this English school. My experiencie was really positive. There is a nice learning environment and you are having fun while you are learning English. The teachers really help you with all your doubts and, if you need accomodation in Cardiff, they can provide you information. There are a lot of foreign students from all the world and you can learn from different cultures. They also organise trips and activities very frequently.

Fantastic experience: I am really happy with my progress in English at Peartree. Teachers are friendly, patient and there is a fun during lessons. Lessons are equally focused on all parts – speaking, writing, listening and reading. You can take a free test each week and we have a coffee time or a grammar class every Friday. Management’s approach is positive as well, they are always very helpful. I recommend Peartree to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Good time I spent there, I felt like home. I had liked to improve my english level more than I did but definitly it wasnt its fault. Special mention for Tristan, a good teacher and better person.

Positive experience: My training at Peartree Language School has been such a great experience!! I found a "new family" in the heart of Cardiff, improved my work and English knowledge and a lot more. I also had English classes one time per week and the teaching method was really good. I would consider myself lucky If I will have the chance of studying at Peartree for a longer period in future and I reccommend Peartree Languages to everybody is interested in learning languages or having a internship in the UK.

Fantastic experience: Peartree Languages School is best place to learn English in Cardiff. I started learn English from elementary level in 2008 with Peartree. I just finished my master now. From start to finish Peartree was with me. I reached my goal through Peartree thanks to them. Manager, teachers and stuff are very friendly. Fantastic experience: Thanks to Peartree Languages I achieved my goals. Passing the FCE first in 2013 and then getting a 7.5 in the IELTS a year later which got me into the Masters I wanted at the University of Bristol, which I have just completed. Now, I’m coming back to get ready for the CAE exam!! Very happy!

Fantastic experience: Everything in this school was very interesting. Didn't feel alone on this school it was like family. I love the Peartree Languages school.
