Fantastic experience: I have been attending Lingo Flamingo's Italian language classes in Shawlands for 18 months now and can highly recommend their classes! The teaching is done in a structured manner with emphasis on learning in a relaxed, friendly and stimulating environment thanks in large parts to our teachers Elisabeth and Salvatore, both native Italians who are passionate about Italy and their shared desire to teach their beautiful native language, the culture, the people, the land, the rich culture, etc. I am so glad I found Lingo Flamingo! The fact they are a charity doing great work with people with dementia is a great bonus! I am presently attending the post chick classes ( the third language level) Once completed I will attend the 4th level which is Fledgling, on my journey to achieve fluency.

Fantastic experience: I've been learning Italian with Lingo Flamingo for over two years now, and it's been a wonderful experience. The classes are great fun and really engaging, with lots of different learning style options for everyone. We've built a lovely community of people in our class and it's a great social event as well as a good brain workout. They also offer an online portal with exercises every week, and an AI chatbot with which you can practice your conversation! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn a new language in an engaging and fun way.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending Lingo Flamingo Spanish classes for a couple of years and I really enjoy these sessions. The teachers (in particular Rafa and Nancy) are just wonderful. They are talented, skilled, humorous and do a wonderful job of making these informal Spanish sessions such a brilliant and non threatening way of learning. I also love the fact that Lingo Flamingo are a language learning initiative with a social conscience, and I know the impact that their involvement with our seniors in care homes and day centres can make on maintaining cognitive and psycho-social health. Fantastic experience: We’ve been learning Italian here for over 2.5 years and have loved every moment. The classes are really fun and designed to get everyone talking and practicing at their own pace. I really enjoy that the classes are not rigidly academic as we often play games or do fun exercises that help you to remember key points and make the grammar more interesting. Fantastic experience: I moved back home to Glasgow last year and decided to take up Italian classes for a hobby. I did some research on the available options and found Lingo Flamingo. I was really impressed by the work that they do in care homes for residents with dementia and jumped at the chance to help support this amazing work. Fantastic experience: I now understand all of the 5 star reviews. I've just finished my first block of Spanish classes and Im ready to do the next block. The Saturday class is a great way to start the weekend right. Rafa keeps the class engaged, motivated and he is very patient. You can laugh off your mistakes. It's stress free and completely different to learning a language at high school. I would recommend trying it out

Fantastic experience: I am doing an online Spanish class with Lingo Flamingo and it is great. The teacher is excellent, very patient and very imaginative with how he takes the class, and he makes it fun. As well as the online class Lingo also provide online exercises which include reading, listening and grammar. I would strongly recommend Lingo Flamingo to anyone wanting to learn a foreign language. I fully intend to re-book for the next semester.

Fantastic experience: Having started off Spanish learning in group at the studio with the Lingo Flamingo team I can say they've done a great job of transitioning to online learning which cant be easy! The classes are always easy to follow and the tutors never make you feel pressured. A great and relaxed way of learning

Fantastic experience: I first learned of Lingo Flamingo during lockdown and have been waiting patiently for classes to resume so I could take a Spanish course. Even though they are online the learning environment is relaxed and fun. Excellent place for language learning, I highly recommend Lingo Flamingo!

Fantastic experience: Thinking of learning a language? I can't recommend Lingo Flamingo enough - the classes are friendly and relaxed, but still push you on to learn. I've been learning French since January and our lesson has become one of the favourite parts of my week. The class is great value for money and you know you are helping to support the wider charitable programme.

The teacher and other students were very nice and the atmosphere was always friendly. I would definitely recommend this school!

Fantastic experience: Lingo Flamingo is a really fun, relaxed and supportive way to engage with a culture and learn a new language. I've taken part in three blocks and have had a lot of fun developing my knowledge and vocabulary - which was non-existent prior to the class. The environment created is really welcoming. Max who leads the french class sets great challenges and activities to encourage exploration and learning. The people I have met at the class have been great as well. We work together when faced with a difficult task and have a good laugh in the process. As part of the class you get a text book to keep and additional worksheets and homework tasks. Overall the class is great value for money and you know that the profit being made is going to a great cause through this social enterprise.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Lingo Flamingo for French lessons and it is truly great. The lessons are fun and never stuffy or stressful but you learn a lot. The lesson always flies by! It's also excellent value and helps a good cause. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: This is my third block of French lessons with the Social Enterprise ‘Lingo Flamingo’ in Shawlands and I intend to continue! The Saturday classes with Max are superb: laid-back, fun and informative. The classroom space is funky and modern and we listen to French music while we work. Max even makes us tea or coffee on arrival and there are (pink flamingo-branded) jugs of water, glasses and biscuits on the table. I’ve learned a tremendous amount of new vocabulary and grammar and enjoyed using the language in games and activities during class. I’ve also met some lovely new friends and we all support each other during class and have a great laugh. The money raised from these classes helps to fund Lingo Flamingo’s work with the elderly in care homes and day centres - using language learning as a way to keep the aging brain active and hopefully delay the onset of conditions such as Dementia and Alzheimers. A fantastic language school in the heart of the South Side. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I did a beginners Spanish course with lingo Flamingo earlier this year. The learning atmosphere was great, everyone was relaxed, thanks to the tutor,Max, and we all learned more Spanish that we thought possible, and have retained most of it. I can highly recommend their methods of teaching , particularly to those of us over 60 and out of the learning environment. The organisation should be supported by everyone
