Negative experience: السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته تجربتي مع معهد كانت سيء للغايه + دراسه اي كلام وتعليمهم جدا سيء وغالبية الطلاب عرب يعني ماراح تسفيد اي شيء نصيحة حاول تشوف معاهد افضل من مكان هذا هذا غير تعامل مدير السيء جدا + لو حاولت تسحب فلوسك غالبا يرفضون لانو عارفين انو تعليمهم اي كلام + طلاب مايمارسون الانجليزي الحصه عباره عن سوالف بلغه عربيه ممكن وحيد الي يتكلم انجليزي هو مدرس لكن الحمد الله على كل حال اتمنى تعليقي يفيدكم . My experience with this institute was very disappointing. The teaching quality was poor, and the lessons were not well organized or effective. Many students were not encouraged to speak English during class, which defeats the purpose of studying here. In my opinion, there are better options available

Fantastic experience: The best language school in the UK!

Fantastic experience: I studied here for four months, and it was incredible. I made a leap from 6.0 to 7.5 in IELTS and achieved a C1 certificate. Everything is well-organized, and the tutors are truly passionate about what they do. The staff is also very helpful. I'm incredibly grateful to Lewis Richards, Greg, Emily, Rebecca, Jane, Josh, and Charlie. The entire team is amazing, and every teacher contributed to my progress. Moreover, LSI provides an excellent extracurricular program (Thanks, Niki!), including trips around the South of England. Leisure activities are organized flawlessly. It was a beautiful, dream-like experience for me. Many, many thanks to all.

Fantastic experience: My trip with Lsi was an incredible and transformative experience. During the time immersed in the local culture, I significantly improved my English in daily communication and classes. Lsi’s methodology is effective and engaging, making learning natural and fun. The excursions and cultural activities provided practical language experience, something impossible to achieve only in the classroom. The teachers and staff were always attentive and helpful, creating a welcoming and motivating environment. I made many lasting friendships with people from various parts of the world. Negative experience: 20 years ago in a class in LSI a guy from Middle East said “Acer is an US brand not Taiwanese” after I listed it as a Taiwanese brand. The teacher believed him not me and even said to. Japanese “ give some brands to Taiwan “. One time I talked to the headmaster that I want to change my class to a higher level cuz current one is too easy. She said to me “ why Taiwanese are so annoying “ just because another Taiwanese talked to her the other day about the same issue. I know some classmates from Germany changed classes too. Did she say the same thing to them？Isn’t it a sign that they can’t class students in the right level and possibly not enough advanced teachers? I strongly suggest people choose other language schools better not this one in Portsmouth. Management and evaluation of teacher quality seem loose to me. Some cItizens are racists too. My home mom didn’t dare to speak to me when I said hi to her in the street. Drunk man yelled to me “ go back to your own country “, and a classmate from Middle East stabbed by a guy in weekend night. London is more tolerant to foreigners.

Negative experience: I studied at LSI/IH Portsmouth for a year and two months. The teachers were great, but the management was not at the same level. They may put you at a lower or higher level than your level, depending on what they have available, not according to your actual level.

Negative experience: Staff are nice and welcoming especially the security. But the place is not friendly for exam candidates as there’s nowhere to hide or sit until you’re allowed to enter the building. When it rains, you have to stand outside in the rain…no shed around.

Fantastic experience: I had completed a General English and 1on1 course for 8 weeks at LSI. Here the classes were full of enthusiasm and both students and teachers were enthusiastic. This allowed me to concentrate on learning English. I took part in many social activities, which I really enjoyed because the teachers were friendly. Eventually, I got confidence in speaking English. Thanks to the amazing teachers, I had a really good time.

Fantastic experience: I had finished my LSI course is the brilliant course I get several experience and knowledge that what I need it to improve my process.

Fantastic experience: I had been in LSI for one month in the summer of 2019. It was a great opportunity to not only improve my english skills but also spend unforgettable time with people from all over the world. One thing I'd like to remark is that I enjoyed a lot the lessons. Teachers focus on your needs as they know your strengths and weaknesses, which is essential to learn a language. The social programme is great to make new friends easily and get to know each other out of the class. The experience was so fulfilling that It was my intention to come back again this summer. Unfortunately it was not possible to do so due to the coronavirus situation and I ended up taking the CAE course online LSI offered. The online course has proved to be really useful and satisfactory as I have passed CAE exam with excellent results. I highly recommend LSI Portsmouth for both educational purposes and social experience.

Fantastic experience: Pre-sessional course I visited the pre-sessional course last year and it was a real profit for my further master study which is in english in Switzerland. In the pre-sessional I learned to write essay and projects with a scientific background as well as present this project work in a oral presentation. Both parts gave me more confident in speaking and writing as well as understanding complicate lecturer.

Fantastic experience: Egyhetes nyelvtanfolyamon vettem részt. A képzés magas színvonalon, az igényekhez igazítva, rugalmasan volt megszervezve. A rövid idő ellenére is hasznosnak tartom a részvételt. A tanárok megfelelő módszerekkel és eszközökkel dolgoznak. A három tanárom közül kettő kifejezetten jól tanított.

Fantastic experience: In the winter of 2016/2017 I stayed at LSI Portsmouth for six months and I still benefit from it. I started with the CAE course, passed the exam and decided to stay and follow the CPE course. Not only did I have great teachers and schooling but also the social program is impeccable. The classes aren't too big so you get taught really well. The teachers are well aware of your strengths and weaknesses in the English language and therefore able to give you personal tips to improve your skills. The social program is great to quickly make friends while also using your English in a more casual situation. This helps to become more at ease with using a second language. I stayed in a student house provided by LSI which was way better than I ever expected. Everything was so clean and my housemates were so nice and open to everyone. This made me feel at home quickly and some of the people I still speak to. I could really recommend everyone to follow a course at LSI Portsmouth! If not for the social experience than definitely for educational purposes!

Fantastic experience: I came twice and and I am glad to say that I spent there the most amazing days of my young life, I've met so many wonderfull people among teachers and students from all around the world, I lived a dream in England and I did my first dreams in english thanks to that school . Fantastic experience: I spent 3 months in Portsmouth in 2015 and I was staying in a shared house. It was an amazing experience, probably one of the best time of my life! The school is very professional and the level of teaching always adapted to every student. Except one person, everybody passed the exam in my class, thanks to our two CAE teachers. It is also much fun to study there. The social program is great and various activities are organized every week. I have met people from all around the world and I still have contact with some of them. The shared house was also awesome and I had so much fun with my flatmates. I would definitely go again! Fantastic experience: At the LSI Portsmouth I felt comfortable from the very first day; that's why I came back a second time (initially for two weeks and then, two years later, for 4 months to attend also the 12 - weeks CAE course). The school staff are super friendly, really competent and they do care about creating the best environment for their students coming from all over the world. It is amazing to meet people of different nationalities and, thanks to the School Staff, this exchange of cultures does happen in the best environment possible. You'll find yourself in a really nice town, with all the facilities, shops, pubs, discos, green areas, I mean everything you need to enjoy your staying at the best. No way you'll feel bored: I've never found a Language School that arranges also such amazing activities even outside the classes. Plus, as a student house manager, I was given the unique chance not only to bring my English level to a serious level, but also to feel a part of the school organisation welcoming the new students and being helpful to them in case of need. Thank you guys, I've been through one of the best experience of my life. Ever.

Fantastic experience: I'd like to call this place as a home in Britain, as an international student from China, I'd never excepted that I could have a such amazing experience while I was studying in the UK. 7 months of being a student in LSI would be the most unforgettable memery in my life. Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful to Lsi. But for this school I couldn't have enhanced my level of English, let alone pass the FCE, CAE and CPE exams. The teachers are outstanding and kind, thanks to them everyone could learn the several topics in class without further study at home. Moreover, the directors and receptionists are welcoming and reliable. Despite the fact that you may be far away from home, you will find it difficult to feel lonely or homesick. Fantastic experience: Hi everyone, unfortunately I’ve spent here only two weeks... but If I had time, I would spend in LSI Portsmouth more time. The teachers were knowledgeable and kind. They were always able to understand the stundent’s needs, both for school and for the daily lifestyle. The school offered many activities in- and outdoors, because relationships are essential for understanding and for enjoying the study trip. The courses are very various, you can practise your speaking, writing and listening competitions without awkwardness. LSI helped me to achieve my personal english skills and also to relate with foreign guys. Nowadays, I’m still in contact with some of them and these friendships could be useful in your life. Fantastic experience: I had been in LSI for 3 months. It was such a great language school for improving English skills, getting touch with many people from all around the world, learning different cultures and spending unforgettable time with them . Also, it was amazing opportunities to travel in England, discover English culture and daily life with lovely host families. Me and my twin sister were come from Turkey. Now, we are still meeting with friends from Korea, China, Italy so on. We are sharing our important moments with our host family. Fantastic experience: LSE has been such a wonderful experience. I wanted to avoid the big famous language schools full of French speakers as EF, advertised everywhere. I made my researches on the web found LSE in Portsmouth (LSE is highly rated for IELTS), decided to go there and wawwwww no regrets. First of all in 3 months I have met only 1 French speaker, we were always between 4 and 6 in the classroom. Not only the quality of the teachers and cases was amazing but also all the entertainment life in and out the school with the other students and the LSE people in charge of social activities. I had an average level of English (French high school level), went there 10 weeks get 7.5 at the IELTS which is among the highest note. Regarding the housing, I have been both in the host families (mine was awesome, and it was the same for other students, LSE pays a lot of attention to the selection of the families) and the student house (almost a five star hotel !) Finally, Portsmouth does not sound good but trust me it is fire, thousand of students and places to have fun. Do not hesitate, go for it !!!!

The staff is very professional and the teachers make you comfortable. The socialising part was also very nice. Every weekend there were organised trips to visit near cities and villages. Fantastic experience: Es ist eine super Schule zum Englisch lernen. Ich war 2-mal dort. Für das erste Mal war ich für das First Zertifikat und das zweite Mal für die IELTS-Prüfung, beide mal bestanden. Die Lehrer sind sehr Kompetent und Hilfsbereit. Die Ausflüge der Schule sind vielfältig und machen immer Spass auch bei schlechtem Wetter. Es giebt ein Bereich zum Entspannen und Billiard spielen, dort lernte ich Billiard spielen. Für abwechslungsreiches Essen gibt es viele Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung, auch für Partys sowie Diskos und Bars (Pub). Ich war beide mal bei Gasteltern. Die Gasteltern waren immer super nett und entgegenkommend. Ich hatte eine sehr tolle Zeit dort und wenn ich könnte, würde ich definitiv wieder gehen.

Fantastic experience: I studied at LSI for 10 months and it has been the best 10 months of my life. LSI's employees are the most wonderful in the world because they are kind, caring, supportive and professional people. I learnt many different techniques, which helped me in my current academic life at the University. Teachers are very supportive and provide me with the most valuable guidance to overcome IELTS exam. They made a massive transformation in my English language by teaching me high level academic vocabularies; as a result I got good scores on IELTS. LSI is one of the best schools in IELS, Cambridge preparations and Pre-sessional classes. Therefore, I highly recommend them for those who are seeking the best English language provider. Fantastic experience: War im Oktober für einen Monat in der Schule. Die Lehrer sind sehr angaschiert und die Betreuung ist hervorragend. Auch der Humor kommt nicht zu kurz. Die Klasseneinteilung wird dem Niveau und den Bedürfnissen entsprechen vorgenommen. Eine Verschiebung in eine andere Klasse ist jederzeit möglich. Das Freizeitangebot kann sich sehen lassen. Die Schule ist auch für ältere Personen geeignet.

Fantastic experience: Школа хорошая (есть с чем сравнить, проходили 2 месячный курс английского в Беллербис колледж, Брайтон). Учили с братом IELTS 8 недель. Все очень хорошо организовано, к каждому студенту персональный подход, очень эффективная методика преподавания (отдельное спасибо преподавателю Becky). Группы маленькие (у нас было 7 чел.), возраст одноклассников разный но все очень дружные, а самое главное люди в группе со всего Мира с которыми до сих пор поддерживаем контакты. За 8 недель подняли свой IELTS с 3,0 до 5,5 особо не напрягаясь. Расположение школы вообще идеальное: прошел 20 метров от LSI и пабы в которых можно дешево (4,60 - 7,0 фунтов за обед) и хорошо пообедать, прошел еще 150 метров и центр города с магазинами и сувенирными лавками. К тому же Portsmouth очень дешевый город, все тоже самое только в Brighton будет стоить на 20% дороже (я за проживание и питание). Остались довольные. Рекомендую. The school is good (there is with what to compare, passed two-month English course at Bellerbys College, Brighton). We taught with my brother IELTS 8 weeks. Everything is very well organized, to each student personal attention, a very effective method of teaching (special thanks to teacher Becky). Small group (we had 7 people.), age classmates different but all are very friendly, and the most important people in the group from all around the World with whom we are still in contact. Due 8 weeks we raised our IELTS from 3.0 to 5.5, not particularly straining. The location of the school ideal: passed 20 meters from LSI and pubs where you can make cheap (4.60 - 7.0 pounds for lunch) and a good lunch, walked another 150 meters and the city center with shops and souvenir shops. Also, Portsmouth is very cheap town, all the same things but in Brighton will cost 20% more expensive (I am talking  accommodation and meals). Very satisfied. I recommend.
