Fantastic experience: It’s a great school. Great for those who loves being free with their friends and a bunch of new students from different countrys in a big city to explore.

Negative experience: Ran by an unfortunate owner that has views that don't align with his supposed "inclusive" college. Abhorrent behaviour online from him. Avoid at all costs!

Fantastic experience: Era mi primera vez en el extranjero para realizar un curso de inglés y he quedado muy contenta. Te hacen una prueba inicial y si necesitas puedes bajar o subir de nivel. Mi profesora Dina, ha explicado todos los ejercicios muy bien, con ejemplo y gestos para que sea más fácil poder entenderla. Las clases con ella son dinámicas y pasan rápido.

Fantastic experience: I studied at BLC for 2 weeks. The school is located in a nice building, and I can’t say it was dirty as many others mention in their reviews. Luckily, I also had such lovely teachers teaching me there. However, what wasn’t so great was that the school didn’t give us any information about the afternoon activities I had already prepaid. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Joe and the kind staff at reception. Thanks to them, I was able to take part in the activities I had paid for. I really enjoyed them with Joe, who was our activities leader. Everyone could see that he genuinely enjoys spending time with students, and he’s definitely the right person for the job! Generally speaking, the school’s way of providing information is quite messy, but thanks to the great staff it won’t be such a problem for you, I promise. :)

Positive experience: Accomodation is very bad. They are really irresponsible. If you have a complain, they never care. Ps: My comment was only for accomodation. Teachers are so lovely , classes are nice , location is perfect . I have improved my English so well.

Fantastic experience: The place is really great, in my case me and my brother got a good family, they cared about us, showed us how the buses work here in Brighton, and a lot more. And the school, the teachers are very great, they want you to learn and the groups are not very big from 5-15 people. The one problem is that the houses are like , some of them are 30 minutes away by bus and another one's 40 minutes away, like mine. The activities that you do outside of the school are very great I would like to congratulate Marlon and Max for being so good and polite instructors. I recommend this trip a lot cause I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

Fantastic experience: My son (9 years old) had a wondeful one-week course at this language school. His teacher Bridget was amazing and the kids had so much fun. My son wanted to stay in Brighton, thats how great it was!!! The school is located right next to the royal pavilion. We were here in October and the kids of my sons course always met after school on the ice rink in front of the royal pavillion and enjoyed the afternoon together.

Negative experience: Ich hatte den Kurs "Sprache und Kultur" gebucht, morgens Sprachunterricht und nachmittags Ausflüge in der Umgebung in "kleinen" Gruppen! Der Kurs begann mit 4 Klassen von jeweils 5 Schülern, also etwa 20 Schüler, von denen 15 Schüler als Gruppe aus Taiwan kamen und einen eigenen Betreuer hatten! Wenn wir morgens Unterricht hatten, kam der taiwanische Betreuer unangemeldet in die Klassen und machte Fotos! Am Nachmittag musste ich feststellen, dass die Kulturveranstaltungen mit allen mehr als 20 Schülern durchgeführt werden; man erklärte mir, dass das eine "kleine" Gruppe sei! Wenn die englischsprachige Führerin etwas erklärt hatte mussten wir warten bis der taiwanesische Betreuer dies übersetzt hatte! Außerdem wurde an jeder Ecke ein Gruppenfoto vom Betreuer erstellt! Wenn Sie mit über 20 Personen durch London gehen und immer auf jeden gewartet werden muss, da die Führerin akribisch darauf achtete, dass die Gruppe immer vollständig zusammen bleibt, dann gehen Sie 5 Sekunden, dann Stopp, wieder ein paar Schritte, dann wieder Stopp usw. usw. Am Freitag waren wir im Unterricht plötzlich 8 Schüler, da es hieß, deren Lehrer sei krank und dies wäre nur diesen einen Tag so! Am Montag waren plötzlich 10 Schüler in der Klasse; man hatte die 20 Schüler nun auf 2 Klassen aufgeteilt, da man die freigewordenen 2 Lehrer "woanders" bräuchte! Daraufhin wollte ich mich beim Direktor beschweren; der lehnte ein Gespräch ab, da ich ja über eine Agentur gebucht hätte!!!??? In Ihrem Programm verspricht die Schule, dass die Klassenstärke maximal 8 ist und normalerweise 5, doch das hält sie nicht ein!!! Auf diese Weise kann die Schule ihren Profit sehr gut auf Kosten der Schüler maximieren! Es hat keine "Stadtrundfahrt" durch Brighton gegeben; es war ein Stadtrundgang! Nun ist die Stornierung schon 30 Tage her und ich habe immer noch nicht die versprochene Rückerstattung erhalten!

Fantastic experience: We gladly leave 5 stars for our trip with BLC and to Brighton. We came with a group of students from Germany and had issues with our flights changing last minute and then lost baggage. The school went above and beyond to accommodate us, including a late pick up time from the airport, met us after hours at the school to ensure our students arrived safely to their host families and assisted us every step of the way the entire week with anything we needed. The staff are extremely friendly, and they often checked in with us to ask about our lost baggage and to offer their support in any way. The entire program is well thought out and planned. Everything was taken care of. Our students thoroughly enjoyed the day trips and our guides, Eric and Enzo were just perfect. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better program or school to bring our students to. We had a great time and can only recommend BLC. We will be back!

Negative experience: No lo recomiendo en absoluto. En mi caso, estuve en una clase pequeña sentí que se le prestaba atención a otros alumnos, había más involucracion con alguna. Muchas veces parece que es para pasar el tiempo y no para preparase para un examen. ¿Los profesores tienen preparación profesional para esos exámenes? Hay mucha diferencia entre los profesores, no comparten entre ellos el mismo sistema de enseñanza. Me dejó sorprendida escuchar de mi profesora que a veces era difícil entenderme por ki acento español, y de otro profesor decir que no hay mucha gramática en inglés porque todo lo aprenden de oído... no recomiendo este sitio si quieres aprender inglés. Además, no limpian las clases. Hemos llegado a ver la misma pelusa 2 semanas.

Negative experience: I have a bad experience with this school. The school is located in a dirty building and there is not even a sign on the building saying that it is a school. There is dirt and mess inside. Apart from the CD player, there is no other technology in the classroom. The toilets are dirty. The school and the agency provide you with accommodation, and when you point out the shortcomings, they shift responsibility between themselves and don't want to refund your money for the first week, not to mention that you had to stay in a hotel and then I got my own accommodation. The man named Nick is a businessman and he is not primarily concerned with the client. They have an agreement between the school and the agency and it is not possible to claim their rights. The price and services do not match what you get for it. Better go to another school. Don't expect help here. During class you are distracted from other classes and the building is under an onslaught of students in a state of disrepair.

Fantastic experience: Being a teacher in Germany I have some experience concerning language schools in England even from when I was a teenager. This time it was different as I didn't go with classes but with my family of six. So I needed a school that teaches from advanced to beginner and almost everything in between. My daughter (10yo) learned a lot in a group of six and felt really entertained. The teenagers enjoyed their courses and the afternoon activities. My wife and I had three great teachers who were English but spoke Italian or German fluently (we learned afterwards). The school is at the very centre of Brighton opposite the Royal Pavilion. Furthermore I am extremely thankful that the headmaster Gary handed us over the key to our flat at the station at 1.25am (!), as our flight to Gatwick had so much delay. I absolutely recommend this school for families.

Negative experience: Llevo nueve días esperando una contestación, porque pedí clase por la tarde. Nadie sabe nada. También me ha tocado una casa familiar, donde la dueña un desastre, no limpia...lo hago yo. Donde desayuno solo un té y fruta que me compro yo, porque ella solo pone bollos industriales y comida precocinada todas las noches. Hace cuatro días que se lo comunique a la academia. Mi academia de España también les escribió. Nadie me dijo nada hasta pasada una semana. Mis ultimos 5 días los pase en una casa limpia y con gente maravillosa. 15 días han sido una tortura. También deberían dedicarle tiempo a limpiar los baños, somos mucha gente utilizandolos. Lo único bueno, y por lo que he tenido suerte es con mi profesor, Alessandro. Es genial!. Creo que hay más escuelas en Brighton...valorad más opciones

Negative experience: Die Unterkunft war der Horror, es hat in mein Bett geregnet! sehr schlimme Zeit in meinem Leben für die meine Eltern leider sehr viel Geld gezahlt haben...

Negative experience: I really liked the teachers and lessons there, but the organisation of the school is very chaotic. I left during the Coronavirus Pandemic and they promised the money for my homestay would be refunded. But after writing four e-mails to them and no reply at all, I gave up.

Fantastic experience: My 14 year old nephew spent two weeks in Brighton attending the school last summer. He had such a blast. I can’t believe how many activities are available. He was basically always out, busy either with English classes or with organised fun, including a day trip to London. They really went above and beyond expectations and I found it great value for money. His English improved, but most importantly he gained a lot of confidence, having to navigate the town by himself and making lots of friends from different countries. We didn’t use their accommodation services, so I can’t speak to that. He’ll hopefully go back next year.

Fantastic experience: BLC - The best college!!!

Negative experience: Had one of the worst experience of my life with them. They put me in a far host family, asked them to change for the long distance by the school and they said no. Ok that's fine. I decided to join their school anyway and they changed my accommodation 4 days before my coming without telling me nothing, i had to discover it by myself by calling the host family. Their excuse was that I booked just the week before so they were busy due to high season. And so what, that's how you treat person? Let them paying and then tell them the negative side of the service? what's that? Then, for that and other reasons, I decided not to come anymore and asked them to give me ALL my money back and what happent was they paid back just a PART of my money, keeping 500£ on 1500£ expense. I think their treating in my regards was really bad and if I could come back I would never contact them. Alessio

Fantastic experience: Unser 12-jähriger Sohn hat hier an einem einwöchigen Englischkurs teilgenommen, während wir in dieser Zeit Brighton erkundet haben. Vor Kursbeginn gab es bei unserem Sohn einige Bedenken und Lampenfieber, angesichts der unbekannten Situation und am liebsten hätte er es abgebrochen. Schon am zweiten Tag, war davon keine Rede mehr und am Ende der Woche hätte er am liebsten um eine Woche verlängert, was aufgrund unserer weiteren Urlaubsplanung aber leider nicht möglich war. Schon den morgendlichen Unterricht fand er ganz angenehm, aber besonders die Nachmittagsaktivitäten (z.B. Schnitzeljagd durch Brighton oder Besuch des Brighton Pier Vergnügungsparks) und die zwei oder drei Abendtermine (Kino, Lasertec u.ä.) waren für ihn eine tolle Erfahrung und eine richtig schöne Urlaubswoche. Seine Englischkenntinisse hat er in dieser Zeit auch deutlich ausbauen können. Ältere Jugendliche können hier in Gastfamilien unterkommen, was den Spracherwerb sicher noch mal deutlich effizienter voranbringt, aber mit 12 Jahren wurde das noch nicht empfohlen und das war uns eigentlich auch ganz recht. Wir hatten eine Ferienwohnung und meine Frau und ich konnten in dieser Woche in aller Ruhe unseren Aktivitäten nachgehen und den Nachmittag oder Abend hatten wir dann gemeinsam.
