Designed for learners who wish to improve their fluency while exploring engaging novels, the school provides a dynamic environment where literature serves as the primary tool for linguistic development. Participants benefit from a curated selection of books, ranging from classic literature to contemporary bestsellers, ensuring there is a title suitable for every taste and proficiency level.

Expert guidance and structured methodology

The cornerstone of the Book Club School experience is the exceptional instruction provided by Geoff Hardy-Gould. Highly praised by students for his competence, patience, and engaging teaching style, Geoff leads sessions that are both well-structured and relaxed. His methodology goes beyond simple conversation; he offers deep literary insights, cultural context, and precise corrections on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. This professional guidance ensures that learners not only understand the text but also expand their linguistic capabilities effectively.

Comprehensive skill development

The courses are designed to enhance multiple language skills through active participation. Students consistently highlight the following benefits:

• Speaking and Fluency: Small group sizes allow ample opportunity for every participant to speak, discuss characters, and share opinions, significantly boosting confidence.
• Writing and Correction: Learners have the option to submit written summaries or reviews, which Geoff corrects in detail, providing valuable feedback to improve written expression.
• Vocabulary and Grammar: The immersive nature of discussing novels helps students acquire new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions naturally, while specific grammar points are clarified during discussions.
• Listening and Reading: The weekly reading assignments keep students connected to the language throughout the week, improving comprehension and reading speed.

A global community and engaging atmosphere

One of the most valued aspects of the Book Club School is the sense of community it fosters. Participants join from all over the world, creating a diverse and inclusive environment where book lovers can connect and socialize. The atmosphere is described as warm, friendly, and supportive, making it easy for even shy students to participate. This global perspective enriches the discussions, as members bring different cultural viewpoints to the table, turning language learning into a shared, enjoyable journey.
