Fantastic experience: I am currently taking book club School for 6 weeks and it's the first English book club I’ve participated in. When you apply to join, firstly you take a small test which indicates your level so you can pick the books on your level according to your availability ( there are date and hour options) Geoff is a quite competent teacher; moderates the group in balance and leads you professionally. Writing a summary, picking a favourite phrase;reading it loudly, making comments regarding characters and storyline, make the book club so valuable. On the other hand, while you are reading fabolous books, you also meet with a small and sincere group of people who like reading and discussing it. Meeting with other booklovers from all around the world is fantastic! I highly recommend joining the club for anybody who likes reading and socialising with new people.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my first English Book Club course, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The course combined reading with conversation practice. Fantastic experience: I’ve been joining a course at the book club school for 5 weeks now and I can absolutely recommend it. For me, it is a perfect way to combine my passion for reading and my pursuit of improving my English conversation skills. We meet weekly via zoom and discuss a determinated passage of the novel. Optionally you can write a summary of one chapter, which will be corrected by Geoff, who is a very experienced teacher an guides the lessons souveranely and with a very pleasant sense of humour. The atmosphere is absolutey appreciative, and I think I will also miss the other members, once the course will be finished. But it will definitely not be the last course at the book club school for me!

Fantastic experience: Book Club School offered me a great opportunity to familialise English literature. The class had 7 weeks and each week we read some amount of pages which was suitable for my capacity. Teacher not only taught English grammar and vocabulary but also gave us the background of the author and the time period when the book was published. It was nice to speak about the content of the book with students worldwide.

Fantastic experience: Best way to combine learning, connections and fun !

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently participated in a book club, and it was a wonderful experience! I enjoyed the opportunity to do two things I love: reading and speaking in English. The teacher was excellent, correcting pronunciation and sentence structure errors without being too intrusive. During the week leading up to the meetings, reading kept me connected with the English language, which helped me greatly. It was an experience I will definitely repeat!

Fantastic experience: Together with 5 other participants we read, explored & discussed Claire Keegan's novellas FOSTER & SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE, and it was a great experience! Not only did we discover an extraordinary Irish author, capable of drawing you inside her seemingly simple and yet deep, powerful stories (stories that can break your heart and then, suddenly, give you back hope in human beings, their – our - generosity and resilience) … not only did we discover Keegan & her storytelling, we also had the chance to meet likeminded people from different countries (Greece, Germany, Italy…) and exchange views & ideas with them under the expert guidance of Geoff, an amazing teacher. Geoff has a lot to offer: he plans his lessons so as to point out interesting language (vocabulary, pronunciation, idioms, grammar…) and culture items (through videos, background information about the author or the book, etc) with an ability to ask engaging, important questions that you start wondering about (“why didn’t I think about this before?”) and discuss with your course mates in pairs and in plenary sessions and … you end up thinking that you’ve been friends for ages! Thank you, Geoff, for making all this happen!

Geoff is a knowledgable and patient teacher, the meetings are always inspiring and thought-provoking. Fantastic experience: This Book Club is a great way to improve your conversation skills. If you have a solid knowledge of the language, but you struggle with oral communication or you don't have many chances of practicing your English, this is the group for you! Under the guidance of Geoff you have to chance to explore and discuss the book's central themes, while at the same time revising some grammar rules. You're forced to discuss with complete strangers, which suddenly become your Book Club "buddies", people with whom you can freely discuss literature and books! I totally reccomend joining this Book Club.

Fantastic experience: I finished my first Bookclub this week and it was a fantastic experience. You read and discuss a book in a small group-setting. Geoff is a great teacher who’s helping you to improve your english. He is offering a great variety of books and genres. Also the members club is a fun way to practice your english. Fantastic experience: I think the best way to learn a language is through literature. One really expands vocabulary and enjoys discovering new aspects of language. Geoff is a great teacher. He is into all aspects of English language and shows us new ways of expressing concepts. I really recommend his book club. I have read Ian Mc Ewan's Nutshell.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t know what I really wanted, but I found out when I joined the BookClub School! And that makes me happy Actually, it’s like a journey in a different country: you know what you booked for and at the same time, you don’t really know what to expect! But from the start, you are reassured. Thanks to your guide, you discover cultural contents, notice things in a different way that make your understanding better, take notes to fill your log-travel to keep in memory… At the end of the trip, you realise that you have encountered nice interesting people to discuss with and that you feel more confident in practising your English. Fantastic experience: It was a wonderful experience the course about "The sense of an ending" by Julian Barnes. I read this novel for the first time during the Geoff course ended yesterday, and I enjoyed it so much. The novel is a little masterpiece, a very literary jewel that needs to be reread as it treats several important topics such as memory, time, identity, history, love and friendship, in a very deep way. I highly recommend this novel and Geoff's course

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience with the Book Club School: you read in English from a good selection of books and you can share your thoughts about it in small groups of passionate readers from all over the world that are also equally interested in improving their English. Conversations in the groups are lead by a professional teacher in such a way they stay focused on the topics at hand, allowing every participant good speaking practice. Organized notes on language use or grammar points touched during the conversations are made available after it. It is even possible to write short summaries or reviews and have them corrected

Fantastic experience: The Book Club School is a very good way to improve english: it is funny, immersive and without effort. The groups are small, so there is enough time for everyone to speak and to discuss with other students. I don’t have much time to study, but, as I love reading, during the week I’m able to find the time to read the book we are discussing. I have realized that attending the Book Club School’s courses made my english more fluent, and that was my goal when I started the first course. I recommend Book Club School to everyone who wants to learn english in a funnier and easier way than usual!

Fantastic experience: The Book Club School is a great way not only to improve English language skills, but also to discover great novels in original language. Reading is considered a solitary activity by many, but for me it was a surprisingly enjoyable experience to read on and discuss new chapters of the book with my course-mates week after week. Our teacher Geoff was great in leading our discussions and adding new aspects to the novel. A totally positive experience!

Fantastic experience: Book Club School offers a different approach to studying English and a very interesting method which allows people to improve the language by reading and discussing books online with other students and a great teacher. There are many books available, one can choose between classics and modern stories and then share opinions and discuss interesting topics in online meetings. I like reading the classics in English, I am on my 5th course and I have enjoyed every lesson exceedingly and met wonderful people from different countries. Highly recommended.

If you think you need to improve your speaking skills, love reading and are bored of traditional lessons, you must join in Geoff's courses. Maximum 8 people chatting about literature, as a starting point, everyone has their "space" and can share their opinions. I've already done two and I'm looking forward to the next!
