Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Oxford International. The staff were very friendly and supportive throughout my time here. I would like to thank the manager, Grand, for his help and professionalism, and Carolina at reception for always being welcoming and helpful. A special thanks to my teacher, Joseph, who made learning English enjoyable and easy to understand. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to improve their English in a positive and supportive environment.

Positive experience: The experience was fun and interesting. The teachers (Zain and James) were understanding and helped us a lot in learning the language in the best possible way. Fantastic experience: I truly enjoyed my time at Oxford International. The school is highly professional, and they also give individual attention to students. They try to resolve any personal issues as quickly as possible. The teachers are very approachable, and I enjoyed every single lesson during the three months I spent there. I was also able to move to a different group in line with my progress whenever it was necessary. What I would especially like to highlight, however, is the sense of community. The school genuinely cares about every student and teacher, and places great emphasis on building a supportive and welcoming environment. They treat students with warmth and kindness, while at the same time providing an excellent learning experience. Overall, it was a truly positive and enriching experience, and I am very grateful to have been part of such a supportive school community. I’m especially grateful to Grant for all his kindness and support, and to Carolina and all the teachers — Chiara, Penny, James, Sharebe, Anastasia. Positive experience: Joseph is a very good and caring teacher. I'm happy to be in his class. Everyone is very attentive. The only downside of the school is that there are too many Turkish students. It can sometimes be a problem in terms of speaking practice. Every week there's a conversation club or some other similar event. It's great for practicing speaking and making new friends.

Negative experience: I would like to share my honest experience with Oxford International School. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I often felt that some academic decisions were not handled fairly, and certain concerns were not taken seriously. As an Arab student, I personally felt that there was not always equal treatment. At times, it seemed that Arab students did not receive the same level of attention or support compared to others. This created a feeling of unfairness and frustration. Clear communication, transparency, and equal treatment are extremely important in an international school. I believe the institution should work on ensuring that all students, regardless of their background, are treated with fairness and respect. I hope the management reflects on this feedback and makes improvements to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Oxford International was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had — one of the best periods of my life that I’ll never forget. I joined through the Breaking Barriers organisation with an IELTS level of 5.5, and in just five months I improved to 7.5. That progress was huge for me, and it’s exactly what helped me get into university. The teachers and all staff members were incredibly supportive, kind, and motivating. I genuinely enjoyed studying there every day because everyone was so friendly and supportive — it made learning feel comfortable, positive, and truly inspiring. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I also met so many great people and made friends from all over the world. Definitely an amazing choice if you want to develop your English and have one of the best periods of your life :)

Negative experience: I chose this school in Oxford because of the strong reviews and the confidence my agency had in recommending it. I booked everything 5–6 months in advance because I wanted to be fully prepared and believed this would be a smooth and meaningful learning experience. Unfortunately, what happened was completely different from what I expected, and it left me stressed and deeply disappointed. 1. Accommodation — Chaos, Stress, and Slow Resolution I booked my accommodation 5–6 months ahead, and a few days before arrival, the school confirmed all the correct details. I planned everything carefully — even studied the route to my residence so I wouldn’t get lost on my first day in a new country. But when I arrived on a Sunday, the staff told me my name was not in the system — meaning there was no room for me, despite my booking and confirmation email. Imagine arriving alone in a foreign country for the first time, tired and carrying heavy luggage, expecting everything to be organized — then suddenly realizing you have nowhere to stay. I felt shocked, scared, and helpless. When I called the school, they said they had moved me to a completely different residence far away — a place I had never heard of — and told me they couldn’t solve anything until the manager returned the next working day. So I had no choice but to pull all my luggage across the city to this unknown place. The room I found there was unacceptable — dirty, unsafe, lock broken, no heater, and completely unprepared. I honestly felt like crying. This was supposed to be the start of my education journey, but instead I was dealing with panic and insecurity. It took some time and back-and-forth communication before the school finally acknowledged my situation and offered compensation. They agreed to refund my travel + accommodation mistake costs, but: The refund is still being processed and they told me it may take up to 3 months. So… let’s see if I actually receive it or not. I appreciate the compensation, but the emotional stress, uncertainty, and slow handling made the whole experience extremely difficult and disappointing. 2. Teaching Quality — Not Worth the Cost One of my biggest dreams was to learn English from native teachers in the UK. I imagined engaging lessons, helpful explanations, and motivation to grow. Sadly, that wasn’t what I received. My teacher mostly read from the textbook, gave exercises without explanation, looked bored, and did not motivate students at all. Even basic grammar explanations were unclear. I invested money, time, and hope to be here — and every day I felt regret instead of excitement. Honestly, language schools in my home country provide better teaching. When I shared my feedback, the school told me, “Everyone likes different teaching styles.” That response felt dismissive and made me feel unheard. Meanwhile, other students told me they had good teachers — meaning teaching quality here depends on luck, and unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky. 3. Elective Classes — Not What Was Advertised The website showed many elective choices, which made me excited. But in reality, there were only two options: Speaking and IELTS. All levels were mixed together, making lessons sometimes too easy, sometimes too hard. The only positive part was the elective teacher — truly passionate and professional, and I am grateful for that. ⸻ Thank you for reading my experience. I am not trying to harm anyone — I just want to share the truth so future students can make informed decisions.

Fantastic experience: It was one of my biggest dreams to take part in Oxford and study there. But I owe it to those quality people, from the principal to the teachers, from whom I received my education at the school I chose, that I received a quality education with patience and interest, with great motivation every day. One of the things I will never forget is that they added many beautiful things to me besides language education. One of the most beautiful things about studying at Oxford International English School is that you receive one-to-one private education from all the teachers individually and then it is completely up to you which teacher you will continue your education with. As a result of such a great educational experience, I completed my English language course with a B1 level with zero background in a period of 6 months. I can express myself and understand people at a high level. I plan to go back to the same school as soon as possible and improve my language practice even more.
