The staff and teaches we're incredibly friendly and nice, so the classes aren't that boring as you may think, and they do activities somedays. For example, this weekend they had planned to go karting with the students. And they even put you in classes that match your english level by doing a test, so you can always learn. Would go again

It’s a rigorous, intensive course that requires dedication, adaptability, and continuous reflection, but it’s even harder for teachers to apply it effectively in real classrooms. It demands detailed lesson planning, precise time management, adaptability to student needs, and the ability to balance both structure and spontaneity. However, the incredible support and expertise of my CELTA tutors made this journey not only manageable but also inspiring. I am truly grateful to my tutors, Holly and Kieran, who were always there whenever we needed guidance. They didn’t just help us overcome obstacles—they also empowered us to become independent teachers by striking the perfect balance between support and challenge. Their input sessions were insightful, their detailed feedback on each teaching practice was invaluable, and their dedication to our progress was unmatched. Negative experience: Paid for a full time class for 8 weeks, but they cancelled it because there is not enough student. Now they hold my money and said will only return in 60 days. No reason why it takes so long. Any refund should only take for a week. It is a large amount of money for me, almost two months of salary. What a terrible school.

Fantastic experience: I had an intensive course for OET exam in a British Study Centre in Manchester and it was an incredible experience. My teacher (Ruby) quickly understood my weak points in listening and reading and we did a lot of practice. As a result, I improved my listening and reading skills and got high scores in the exam (400 and 410). During the exam the whole team worked very professionally, were very supportive and were trying to create a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The acoustic system in the exam room is perfect and I could hear everything very clearly. I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff from the British Study Centre in Manchester and especially to my teacher Ruby for helping me to pass the OET exam

Negative experience: In oktober ben ik een maand naar deze school geweest. Ik ben nog steeds aan het wachten op het voorschot dat ik terug zou moeten betaald krijgen! En bovendien waren de lessen slecht georganiseerd en met alle niveaus door elkaar. De computer die niet wilt werken en als je al eens een schriftelijk papier krijgt is het soms bijna onleesbaar afgedrukt . Beschamend!

Fantastic experience: This is the best languages institute I have ever know. I have been studying for OET and the preparation and approach to the exam that they teach is excellent. Teachers are also very patient to guide you in right way to understand and succeed the exam. I highly recommend it. The whole staff is willing to help you at any moment and teachers are passionate about to help you to improve your English. The lesson are focused to get your interest . The building is nice, elegant and modern with some old-fashioned school cool details . Classrooms are big and comfortable.

Negative experience: I signed up with this school for the Cambridge CELTA course. Continue with this school if you like to pay £1250 to be humiliated, and you want to watch Cambridge CELTA videos that are available on you tube. The class was unstructured and a total shambles. They where trying to deliver a course through zoom but had no idea what they were trying to deliver and how. I failed 2 TPs with a Tutor who insisted that the right thing to do was to blurt it out to the rest of the class, but not blurt it out about the other trainee that had also failed. As a teacher you are not supposed to be prejudice. It is obvious that the BSC tutors play by what ever rules they choose. The candidate agreement states that you need to behave appropriately and professionally at all times. Obviously this does not apply to them. I was offered a refund by a manager ( lord only knows how many managers they have) I was also told that the refund had been initiated but would take up to 60 days. Don't think I have ever come across a payment that takes 60 days before, but I accepted it. the long and short of it is this school is unprofessional and nothing more than a con. Pay your money at your own risk. They still use the British Study Centre logo, from original company that went into liquidation. So which company is the course really with? BSC Education Ltd or The British Study Centre. Unprofessional and a con.

Negative experience: Ho prenotato un corso intensivo di inglese per aprile 2020 (pre lockdown) che purtroppo non sono riuscito a fare. A questo punto ho chiesto il rimborso della quota di pre-iscrizione ma niente... continuavano a dirmi che al momento i rimborsi erano bloccati e, ad oggi, non rispondono più neanche alle email. Vergognosi!!
