Fantastic experience: I spent one week at Select English School in Cambridge and it was an amazing experience. The school is very well-organized, the teachers are professional and friendly, and the lessons were engaging and effective. I really improved my English in just one week. My host mum was absolutely the best — she made me feel at home from the very first day and cooked us exquisite food! I highly recommend Select English School to anyone who wants to study English and have an unforgettable experience!

Negative experience: The students always crowd around the enternce and block the path, it's worse when you say 'excuse me' and they don't move!!! Don't get me started on the bus stop, they swarm around the enternce to the bus and won't let you get off, the driver had to tell them to make way.

Negative experience: The students stand out infront of the narrow pavement and block the way so forcing people to walk in the road to get around them. Tell students to wait somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: This language school offers outstanding instruction. The IELTS preparation was rigorous and precise, leaving me fully equipped for the exam. My spoken English improved dramatically thanks to focused, high-quality training. The teachers are exceptionally skilled and attentive. I now speak and write with confidence and fluency. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: I spent 6 weeks there. I don't recommend it for people with specific goals, like taking the IELTS. If you're someone who bored at home and wants to talk about everyday things, you might enjoy the morning lessons. Other than that, Ben is a great teacher, and I appreciate his dedication.

Fantastic experience: I chose Select English last November for a one month course. I really felt at home, the team is amazing! Everyone makes you feel special and protected from your fears when you are a foreigner and have a basic level of English. The teachers are great, everyone has a different style and you can enjoy it, you will learn one way or another because the classes are very interesting (they are not just language classes). The school is tidy and clean, the classrooms are comfortable. If you want, you can have coffee and tea every day, it is at your disposal. You have a small fridge for storing your food and a microwave, plate, cup, etc. You are in the city centre close to everything and you can enjoy Cambridge at the same time. Fantastic experience: I've spent two weeks in Cambridge this summer and it was great experience. I stayed at Railyard accomodation that school provided me with, bathroom to myself and common room with kitchen. Teachers, school buildings, functioning of the school and atmosphere were all great. Everyone is friendly and open to help. Also a huge amount of everyday activities after school are great to get to know the city, and other people from school better. I've met so many great people from different countries and made quite good friends with some of them. I absolutely recommend this summer school and would happily come again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been studying 6 months at Select English and I have been to other academies, therefore I can say that it is the best I have ever been to. I felt so comfortable with the teacher and office workers like a family. If I need something they always have been able to solve my problems. The teachers make the classes enjoyable, they follow a structure for you to improve your English at faster in the time you spend at the academy. Also every Friday I did a little exam to see if I learn all the weeks content. And of course, i had a good time in the activities: punting, bowling… The academy is so multicultural so I could speak with different people and yo accustom my hearing to different accents. In conclusion if you want to spend a good time at the same time improve your English I recommend select English. I would recommend meeting Dan as well always so helpful and such a legend

Fantastic experience: We are from Ukraine, from Donetsk…At the end of July my 14-year-old daughter Sofiia got a great opportunity to take part in the summer English Course Culford Teens organised by Select English . Now she’s back home full of impressions about her holidays in UK. During her stay in England my daughter has visited London, Cambridge and Norwich. She met a lot of friends from all over the world. Every day Sofiia had English lessons, which have helped her a lot to improve her English and to be able to communicate with others and more importantly to find a friendship! The course offers not only English tuition, but also a very interesting activity programme with the great sports facilities!!! I am so grateful to the directors of the Select Englisch - Alex Howlett, Sam Gross and Robert Hesketh because this trip was only possible because of their sponsorship and help! Fantastic experience: Spending time at this school in this amazing city was the best time of my life! Select English provides a really fun and capturing way of learning English. Non-competitive atmosphere, high level of teaching, friendly teachers who are ready to answer your questions at any time, daytime and evening activities, cozy backyard with table tennis, a baseball ring and a relax zone... All these things just mix together and make a perfect school! Also, it's important to mention a few more things. First is dormitories. I've been living in one on Coleridge Road, which is 20-minute walk from the school, but this walk is worth waking up a few minutes earlier. Because it's so nice to have a walk with friends through local park and past nice small houses and to enjoy the nice morning weather. Loraine, who is in charge in the dorm, is a very nice woman. She also cooks delicious tacos The second thing to mention is a lunch at school. After a couple of hours of studying there's a lunch break. The food is delicious! Not to forget, there are always two options of meal - for meat-eaters and for vegetarians. Both are amazing! The third thing is punting. Everybody should try it! I won't describe it, but when you'll be given a choice for day activity, choose punting. You won't regret it ;) To sum up, Select English is school where you'll be looking forward going to! P. S. Fantastic experience: It was one of the best experience that I ever had. English become very fun and applicable with all games that we had in the class, and I had no choice to communicate with my friends there beside in English :-) And having those experience in Cambridge was another thing that make it more perfect, I loves the environment, I always enjoyed every time I walk from the residence to the school, a lot of parks to spend time with friends, environment that I don't have in my home country. I really hope someday I will have a chance to come back and study there again :-)
