Negative experience: A hatred for using cellphones is honestly ridiculous. In trendy Japanese pop culture, places where fashion is always at the cutting edge, students naturally feel the urge to walk through busy streets with a school shoulder bag in one hand and a cellphone in the other. It’s a symbol of awareness, independence, and self-protection. Someone once said to me, “I really don’t understand why you’d rather use your phone than talk to us.” Stylish people who actually know how to navigate information, contrasted with someone who has no access to the latest information, are instead expected to strip away parts of themselves just to fit into someone else’s narrow expectations. What’s worse is that the same person assumed I was “too busy with my phone” during a quiz session, doubting that I was actually checking more information about the topic. Why would I be occupied with something irrelevant when I was the one who prepared the questions?

Fantastic experience: I studied at Central Language School for 8 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. The teachers are kind, professional and very supportive. A special thank you to Bethany, Daniel and Kennedy, who created interesting, engaging and effective lessons every day and helped me improve a lot. The atmosphere is friendly and warm — I felt like home from my first day. I met amazing people and I really enjoyed my classes. A big thank you also to the school staff team for their support and help with everything. The school also organises very nice activities, which help students socialise and discover Cambridge. I highly recommend this school, especially for adult students who want to learn in a calm and positive environment. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to study at this school last July after a friend recommended it. For the past three years, I've attended a monthly course every summer in other cities in England, all with good levels, but I can undoubtedly say that this was the best I've ever attended. The first positive aspect is the cleanliness of the school and the orderly manner in which they are maintained. The welcome from all the staff members was warm, enthusiastic, and friendly every day, creating a family atmosphere, which allowed me to practice English with the teachers even outside of class. Compared to other schools I've attended in the past, this was the first time I've found a well-organized study program tailored to the students in the classroom (each class never had more than 10 students). Furthermore, each student is supported step by step throughout their time at the school, and the test is the document you receive at the end of the course, which describes the entire journey, from the initial test to determine your level up to the last day. Another positive aspect is the rotation of teachers during the week, which allowed me to experience different approaches and knowledge. At the end of this month at CLS, I returned to Italy with much more confidence in speaking English, I expanded my vocabulary, and I had the opportunity to have many wonderful experiences, thanks also to some of the cultural and recreational afternoon activities the school organizes every week. Price-wise, it's one of the most affordable schools in Cambridge, but the quality of the curriculum is truly high. I highly recommend everyone to enroll.

Fantastic experience: The CLS in Cambridge is in a central location in a beutiful university town. Small classes, experienced teachers, interesting young and also elderly students from all over the world, family atmosphere. The school use interactive smart whiteboards in the classrooms. There is daily lesson summery as an attachment to your email. Well organized interesting social activities program and a good accomodation in a very nice open-minded family. That´s how I experienced this school and I enjoyed it. It´s a nice place to learn and meet wonderfull people. I can only recommend the school to everyone. Jan Austria

He estado estudiando inglés durante 6 meses y las familias con las que me he alojado han sido geniales. El personal de la escuela en general te hace sentir como parte de una familia y están siempre dispuestos a ayudarte. Además, el ambiente con el resto de compañeros de diferentes países y culturas te permite no solo aprender un idioma sino abrir tu mente y aprender nuevas cosas de ellos. Fantastic experience: I enjoyed so much my time at the Central Language School. I expected only 1 week to try it out, but I extended it for 4 fabulous weeks. The motivating and friendly environment and the dedicated professionals made it a perfect place to learn and dedicate my time. The course consisted of regular classes, afternoon activities with teacher-led tutoring, allowing interaction with other students and a fantastic language learning experience. The location provided easy access to various dining options, making it convenient for breaks between classes, and near an excellent municipal library in the shopping mall. Staying with a host family was a remarkable experience, and they highly recommended the Central Language School for its effective communication improvement, it visible to other students. The school's careful selection process ensured a comfortable and supportive living arrangement. In the end, I received a comprehensive report highlighting my strengths and providing guidance on progressing. I highly recommend the Central Language School in Cambridge because of its captive atmosphere, dedicated staff, convenient location, exceptional host family experience, and comprehensive feedback. I wish to come back as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: I had two outstanding months in Cambridge at the Central Language School. From beginning the communication with the school administration worked very well, during the Covid-time too. The lessons were fantastically organised and hold, in the small classes the lovely teachers paid full attention on each student. After school they organised interesting and funny after-school programmes like punting, a visit in the King’s College Chapel etc. Visiting other places is quite easy. London for instance you will reach within 48 minutes by train. They found a wonderful host family for me as well, in which I got connection to people and the British culture. I really recommend you this school when you want to improve your English in a authentic English surroundings with kind people.

Fantastic experience: I joined the General English course at CLS for 10 weeks. Actually I spent awesome time there. I'm sure this school is one of the most wonderful school in the UK. I was able to have lessons that were very easy to understand and effective. Especially, the lessons that is for exams was excellent. Thanks of these lessons, I was able to get higher score of IELTS than I expected. As well as the quality of the class, the atmosphere was very good. There were a lot of activity after class. It helped me make a lot of friends. In conclusion, I can recommend CLS with confidence.

Fantastic experience: I attended the General English online course for 7 weeks and I am really very satisfied with the progress I made. In my opinion, Central Language School is an excellent language school: the teachers are very knowledgeable, the teaching method is effective and the weekly lesson planning is very thorough. The CLS proposal was also accompanied by a series of extra online appointments, such as the possibility to participate in the Barn Café or the social lunch. So, what can I say? I highly recommend CLS

Good points: quality/price, friendly atmosphere, a lot of activities to do in the free time (free or very cheap). La mejor! Había pasado mucho tiempo sin ver progresos en mi inglés hasta que empecé en CLS. Puntos fuertes: relación calidad/precio, ambiente acogedor, un montón de actividades que en el tiempo libre (gratis o muy baratas).
