Kaplan International Languages - English School in Edinburgh

Negative experience: تجربتي كانت في الصيف الماضي ما يقارب شهرين و نص حصص مكثفة كان المعهد في البداية جيد الى ان كثروا عدد الطلاب و ذا شيء سىء يقل كفاءة التدريس و تعاون المعهد مع مدرسين خارجيين مؤقتاً ف اكثر من مدرس تم توظيفهم لا يمتون باللغة الإنجليزية بصله لا يملكون مهارات التدريس و لا ايصال المعلومه و لا يوجد عندهم ثقافة التعليم و التعامل و منهم مدرسة تسمى كرستن كانت عنصرية على الاديان و بالخاصه الدين الإسلامي و تتكلم عن الدين في مواضيع خارجه عن الدين بالاساس و لا يحتاج التطرق لها في الدرس و لا تعرف في القواعد اللغة الإنجليزية لدرجة احد الطلاب كان يصحح لها يعني مدرس يتم التصحيح له من طالب ليس لغته الام الإنجليزية و ذا اعتبره من سوء الإدارة لتوظيف اشخاص غير متخصصين و متعلمين و عندهم شهادات و ثقافه فقط لانه سعرهم ارخص عليهم و تم ابلاغ الإدراة ردهم ان المدرسة المتوفره في الصباح هي فقط لا يفكروا في تغييرها و يوجد مدرسين أكفاء قدامى و لكن العيب في المعهد عمل مثل هؤلاء عديمين العلم و الثقافه و بعضهم لغته الام ليست الإنجليزية و سوء الإدارة و أيضاً رفع المستويات ليس يوجد فيه عدل أبداً و ان من العيوب استقبال طلاب من جنسيه او دولة معينه بشكل مبالغ فيه في الفصول يوثر على جوده التعليم غير ذلك يوجد معاهد تعمل قبول نسبي لجميع المتقدمين لها و ليس بشكل عشوائي و غير مدروس و من مميزات المعهد للأمانة وجود كوفي جيد و غرفه صلاة و فقط ذا ما وددت ان يكون رساله للإدارة للتحسين.

Positive experience: Es bastante buena, me encantan las instalaciones, la manera de enseñar y en general la ciudad es buenísima. Pongo 4 estrellitas porque tuve una pequeña indiferencia con la familia y no me dejo un sabor de boca excelente, pero fuera de eso es bastante incrible la experiencia, totalmente recomendado!

J’ai adoré mon expérience à l’école. J’enlève 1 étoile à cause des résidences et famille d’accueil, attention au mauvaise surprise ! Renseignez vous bien auprès de kaplan d’abord, pour les familles d’accueil et résidence, et n’hésitez surtout pas à chercher sur internet voir à quoi ressemble chaque résidence proposer pour éviter les mauvaises surprise à votre arrivée ! :)

Negative experience: Apesar de toda a equipe ser cordata, fiz um mês de aulas sem evolução. Não havia uma sequência lógica de aprendizado, já que cada professor (foi mais de um professor em cada semana) escolhia o tema da aula aleatoriamente. Recebi um livro por semana, mas na maior parte do tempo o professor entregava papéis soltos com o conteúdo do dia. Muitos alunos em cada sala, cerca de 15/20, de modo que os professores não conseguiam ouvir o que falávamos entre nós, nem nos corrigir. Para completar, há obras no prédio vizinho, motivo pelo qual não conseguimos ouvir ao professor e os outros alunos. Tenho certeza que nenhum dos 7 professores sabe quais são minha dificuldades ou qual a minha necessidade de aprendizado.

Negative experience: I have paid 6 month advance for studding and I have paid 2 month advance for accommodation and institute has said to me not pay while I have evidence please resolve my issue .

Negative experience: Really a bad experience, administrative staff impolite and incompetent, not all the teachers are professional and English is not the mother tongue of most of them. I have complained about one teacher’s attitude towards me and got nothing. sometimes I would find myself in a history lessons rather than an English class.( maybe because of the lack of professionalism ). The school is in a good place… I have studied with Kaplan in Torquay and I had amazing experience with qualified teachers and respectful staff, therefore I believe these problems exist only at this school, not in kaplan as well respected educational institutions.

Positive experience: Sono stata alla scuola Kaplan di Edimburgo per 2 settimane. L'esperienza è stata positiva, ho conosciuto persone di culture e paesi diversi e questo aspetto mi ha permesso di mettermi in gioco e migliorare anche l'inglese. Le lezioni sono coinvolgenti seppur a volte concentrate un po' troppo sulla grammatica a mio avviso. In generale consiglio questa esperienza, la scuola è situata in una posizione centrale che permette di fare tante attività prima e dopo le lezioni.

Fantastic experience: I studied here for ten weeks. At first, communicating in English was very difficult for me, but now I can speak freely. I made many friends here, and everyone was very friendly. The teachers were also very patient and interesting when teaching, and I learned a lot. The conversation club also helped me make more friends. People from different countries discussed culture and life in the same language. This feeling was very wonderful. The social activities were also very interesting. I really like it. This city is also very safe. I really enjoy my study time here.

Positive experience: Cóż, to było jedno z najlepszych doświadczeń w moim życiu. Nauczyło mnie samodzielności, dyscypliny i organizacji. Poznałam wielu nowych ludzi, bardzo sympatycznych i miłych. Nie mam żadnych zastrzeżeń, no może z wyjątkiem tego, że lekcje były trochę za długie. Gdyby trwały po 45 min każda, myślę że poprawiła by się zdecydowanie koncentracja i skupienie u wielu.

Fantastic experience: Great school with amazing teachers. The building is nice and modern and has plenty of space. The city of Edinburgh was also great. The only annoyance was the distance from my host family to the city but that was not a big deal. Would definitely recommend!

Positive experience: It was a great experience to come at Kaplan, it was exactly the push I needed to boost my English level :)

Positive experience: I would say that going to kaplan Edimburgh is worth it thanks to the many people from different countries, you are going to know and the city itself. The school itself was ok. They could have managed the level of the students in a better way. The experiences in the accommodations were mostly bad. The first 4 weeks I was in a host family, I had to take the bus 2 hours every day if I wanted to go to school and if I also wanted to go back in the city center to meet with my friends during the evening. The last 2 weeks I was in a student accommodation, that was more expensive and without many things I needed so I had to buy a lot by myself.

Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing experience with this company after hosting a student for 3.5 weeks. My payment was consistently delayed and ultimately incorrect. I had to contact multiple staff members to receive what I was owed, and each time I was brushed off. There’s no direct phone line for submitting formal complaints, and communication is limited to email—which was often ignored. If you’re considering working with this company, I’d strongly advise against it if you want a smooth and stress-free experience.

Fantastic experience: I attended Kaplans IELTS preparation class for only one week and I couldn’t have had a better time here. The city is beautiful and it’s very easy to get around, the school is located right in the middle of the city center - super easy to find, and the teachers are amazing. Although I could only stay for one week, I learned so many helpful things in my main class as well as in my elective class. My main class teacher was Luca and she provided so many useful information about how to strategically approach the different exam sections, and also helped us to get an idea of which IELTS score we could reach through constant feedback on our reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. It’s been an amazing experience - I would have loved to stay longer.

Fantastic experience: I started my two months English course at Kaplan in February and can recommend this school to everyone who wants to improve his English in a pleasant and learning-friendly atmosphere. My teacher was Risa and she was great! She chose all the materials very well and had a huge variety of different teaching methods. The lessons varied every day through different tasks like reading, listening, gap filling exercises or speaking activities. She paid so much attention to our grammar and corrected us whenever she spotted a mistake. I am so happy that Risa was my teacher at Kaplan. I could really improve my English and get my writing and speaking to a C1 level. I can just recommend you going to Kaplan, you will be in very good hands.

A professora, didática, livros e o contato com os alunos foram ótimos, porém se você não tem um nível muito bom, entre intermediário e avançado, você ficará um pouco perdido, pois não consegui aproveitar tudo que a escola poderia ter me oferecido devido a falta de entendimento na recepção. Também senti falta de programas sociais motivados pela escola, porém como são muito alunos, você conseguirá fazer passeios legais entre os alunos. No geral, acho que a Kaplan é uma boa escola e como visitei outras aqui na cidade antes de fechar, creio que é a melhor para se escolher, mas atente a esses pontos para seu intercâmbio: venha com as informações da escola antes de chegar e se permita conhecer novas pessoas nos primeiros dias. Negative experience: La atención desastrosa, y me refiero a Diana Agudelo de Kaplan. Desde el día uno se comunicó conmigo con muchísimas imprecisiones, queriendote enchufar millones de extra cargos, unicamente te contesta rapido cuando decis "pagar". Le tuve que andar atrás incluso cuando estuve a punto de pagar el viaje. Es la misma lacra comercial que EF. NO VIAJEN CON ESTA EMPRESA PORQUE PIERDEN GUITA, TIEMPO Y NO LO VALE.

La città è stupenda un punto in più per venire qui a studiare. Acredito que tenha sido colocada numa classe acima do meu nível de inglês, mas a professora eos colegas sempre tiveram paciência e me ajudaram e incentivaram.
