Fantastic experience: Ich war vom 08. bis 21. März 2026 in der Sprachschule ECS Scotland in Edinburgh, hatte den Kurs "Explore Edinburgh" gebucht. Definitiv die richtige Entscheidung. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre in der Schule, super Lehrer, effektives lernen in kleinen Gruppen. Mittags waren wir mit unserem Lehrer Andy in und außerhalb der Stadt unterwegs. Ich habe viele interessante Dinge über Edinburgh erfahren, war an Plätzen, die ich ohne Andy nicht gesehen hätte. Habe mich auch bei meiner Gastfamilie sehr wohl gefühlt und jede Unterhaltung mit Jane und Flora genossen. War nicht mein letztes mal in Edinburgh und bei ECS Scotland.

Fantastic experience: I got exactly what I was looking for at ECS Scotland, where I joined to improve my English speaking skills and identify my gaps. The teachers, the school environment, the lesson hours, and the location were all beyond my expectations. Thanks to their warm hospitality, the coffee breaks I’ll truly miss, and their friendly yet professional approach, I had a month I will always cherish. I highly recommend it and would love to come back again.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time in Scotland and my first time in an English language school abroad. The school is fantastic, as the classes are very small and one gets learning materials tailored to one's personal interests. The teachers are very friendly, always patient, and at all times open-minded. I would definitely recommend this school to non-native speakers at different levels to improve their English. I very much look forward to seeing the teachers again. (By the way, a homestay also offers a very good opportunity to get indulged into the local culture.)

Fantastic experience: I believe the school was founded by Miss Jane, who also served as the manager years ago. I had the privilege of staying in her home as a guest for about three weeks. She is an incredibly kind person, as is her husband. I truly hope they are both doing well. I wish I had her personal contact information so I could thank her from the bottom of my heart. Fantastic experience: Dieses Jahr war ich bereits das zweite Mal hier an der Schule und in Edinburgh. Die Schule kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Alle sind sehr herzlich und offen und man bekommt immer Unterstützung bei seinem Anliegen. Der Unterricht ist persönlich gestaltet und ich habe mich mit allen Lehrern sehr gut verstanden. Nachmittags wird zusätzlich ein freiwilliges Angebot von Flora an Unternehmungen angeboten. Am Ende der Woche bzw. des Aufenthalts bekommt jeder ein Zeugnis und eine Bescheinigung über die Teilnahme. Wenn ich nochmal nach Schottland komme, dann auf jeden Fall wieder hierher.

Fantastic experience: Zwei Wochen Bildungsurlaub an der ECS Scotland waren eine unvergessliche Zeit für mich. Die familiäre Umgebung und die tollen Lehrer haben dazu maßgeblich beigetragen. Ich habe den Kurs "Experience Edinburgh" gebucht. Der Kurs beinhaltete vormittags 2 Std. Englischunterricht in der Schule und nachmittags Englischkommunikation in Verbindung mit Sightseeing sowie einer gemeinsamen Mittagspause in verschiedenen Locations. Eine tolle Art Englischkenntnisse zu verbessern und aktiv anzuwenden. Die Stadt Edinburgh und ihre Menschen sind wundervoll. Vielen Dank an Jane, Flora, Laura, Elena, Andy, Greig und Lissly. Ich komme bestimmt wieder .

Fantastic experience: I took a two-week language holiday (Edinburgh Experience/Yoga) at ECS Scotland. The language school has a very friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the small groups and opportunities to meet up, there are plenty of chances to practice your English. They are very flexible in responding to individual needs and wishes. I particularly like the formats that combine classroom learning with other activities. I can highly recommend ECS Scotland.

Fantastic experience: Quante volte mi viene detto: Sono troppo “cresciuto/a” per rimettermi a studiare l’inglese, eppure ne avrei proprio bisogno! Dai lezioni di inglese perché mi servirebbe per lavoro? Ebbene, mi è stata suggerita la soluzione! Una piccola scuola a conduzione familiare, esclusivamente per over 30, nel centro di Edimburgo. I corsi offerti (e personalizzabili) comprendono l’inglese medico o legale, la possibilità di studiare visitando la città o praticando yoga, e molti altri. Prepara la valigia, Edimburgo ti aspetta! E l’incantesimo di Harry Potter avrà successo …

Fantastic experience: Super Bildungsurlaub. Ich konnte mein Englisch gut verbessern, besonders der intensive 1 zu 1 Unterricht in Medical Englisch brachten mir sehr viel. Die Schule ist klein, aber gemütlich und alle sind freundlich fast familiär. Danke für die tollen 2 Wochen, ich komme gern wieder.

Fantastic experience: Learning English at ESC is one of the best experiences ever. From personal experience I highly recommend ECS. Great location close to the center of town, small groups, dedicated professors, and above all the family atmosphere is what makes this school truly special. The educational excursions organized by school on Wednesdays were a truly great experience. I will come back here again for sure because home is where the heart is and Edinburgh captures your heart instantly and forever.

Fantastic experience: Ich habe zwei tolle Wochen Bildungsurlaub in dieser familiengeführten Sprachschule verbracht. In der ersten Woche habe ich den Kurs „Experience Edinburgh“ besucht, der einem etwas unbekanntere Teile der Stadt zeigt. Dabei lernt man sehr viel über Edinburgh und Schottland im Allgemeinen. Perfekt, um die Stadt laufend zu erkunden. In der zweiten Woche habe ich „den Kurs Communication at Work“ besucht, in dem es viel um interkulturelle Kommunikation geht. Beide Kurse, das Team der Sprachschule und ein Bildungsurlaub in Edinburgh sind sehr zu empfehlen. Danke Flora, Laura & Jane!

Fantastic experience: Ich habe diese wunderbare, familiäre Sprachschule zwei Wochen besucht und am "English+Yoga and Wellbeing"-Kurs und dem "Experience Edinburgh"-Kurs teilgenommen. Die Kombination eine Sprache zu lernen und nebenbei die Stadt zu erkunden oder Yoga zu machen, finde ich großartig. Ich kann die Schule wärmstens empfehlen. Jane, Laura und Flora sowie die Lehrkräfte sind alle sehr nett und engagiert. Es herrscht eine warmherzige Atmosphäre und während der Kaffeepause kommt man auch mit den anderen Lernenden leicht ins Gespräch. Lernen macht hier Freude und Edinburgh ist einfach eine wunderschöne Stadt. Danke für die bereichernde Erfahrung!

Their Experience Edinburgh General English course in addition with the morning class was great. I felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: ECS es una escuela de alta calidad pedagógica. Te transmiten y enseñan el idioma a través de explicaciones y experiencias que te sirvan para siempre y en todas las ocasiones. Muy preocupados por el aprendizaje y por el bienestar de sus alumnos. Fantastic experience: Great English school, small groups in a very cozy rooms. Jane, Laura, Flora and the teachers are great, they always make feel you as part of a little family. I have been spend four weeks course in which I have the opportunity to improve my English skills gaining more fluency and self-confidence. Fantastic experience: Eine wunderbare Sprachschule im Herzen von Edinburgh. In den kleinen Klassen (max. 5 Personen) und mit den tollen Lehrer/innen macht Lernen wirklich Freude. Das Konzept mit den Walks am Nachmittag ist großartig!

Fantastic experience: Ho frequentato una settimana di corso d’inglese presso la ECS school a Edimburgo, l’esperienza è stata meravigliosa. La scuola è piccola, a conduzione familiare. Il clima è molto cordiale e sereno. Ho apprezzato la suddivisione del lavoro del corso che ho scelto (experience edinburgh) :2h in aula dove si lavora (e ragiona) su grammatica e vocabolario + 3/4 ore in tour per la città dove ci si concentra su conversazione e ascolto. I tour proposti sono stati molto interessanti, non scontati. La scuola ha anche organizzato un paio di serate di social activities. La classi sono piccole, massimo 5 persone ma c’è sempre l’opportunità di parlare con gli altri studenti della scuola. Sono davvero molto soddisfatta, è un’esperienza che consiglio.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at ECS Scotland with the Experience Edinburgh course. The family-like atmosphere of this privately run school made me feel very welcome and supported. What truly sets ECS apart is their focus on each student’s individual strengths and needs, thanks to the very small classes of up to five students. This personalized approach is just as effective for language learning as any traditional method, if not more so. I especially appreciated the diverse mix of nationalities among my classmates, which created a fantastic and safe space for intercultural exchange. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a unique and supportive environment to improve their English.

Fantastic experience: Der einwöchige Kurs Yoga and Wellbeing bei ECS war toll! Vormittags zwei Stunden Konversation in kleiner Gruppe mit einem tollen Lehrer, dann nach einer Pause gemeinsam mit anderen Teilnehmenden (inkl. zwei Mitarbeiter:innen) zum Yoga-Studio gegangen, wo eine wirklich wundervolle Laura den Yoga and Wellbeing-Teil für täglich zwei Stunden abgehalten hat. Ich habe sehr viel gelernt und der Nachmittags-Teil war so wertvoll, auch wenn es nur wenige Yoga-Workouts gab - für mich aber perfekt! Die Schule ist toll gelegen, die Atmosphäre familiär, herzlich und warm - besser geht es in meinen Augen nicht! Ich kann ECS nur empfehlen! Auch die Teilnehmenden der anderen Kurse waren alle begeistert.

Fantastic experience: My time in Edinburgh was absolutely perfect. The language school really helped me improve my English skills and gain more confidence in speaking. Besides Jane and her daughters always being there for me, I want to especially highlight our teacher Greig. He truly delivered great lessons and used many different methods to bring us closer to English and support us in our own unique ways. I wish I had had him earlier in school. The combination of a friendly host family, a great location, and effective teaching made my stay unforgettable. I am very grateful for this amazing experience and would recommend it to everyone!

Fantastic experience: ECS Scotland ist ein wunderbarer Ort um englisch Kenntnisse zu Verbessern und zu Festigen. Ich habe eine Woche am Kurst „Communication at work“ teilgenommen und war traurig, dass ich nicht länger bleiben konnte. Alle Lehrer waren wunderbar und es herrschte insgesamt eine sehr familiäre und angenehme Atmosphäre. Schottland bietet sich wunderbar an, um das englischsprachig zu üben, da es nicht schwer ist mit den außerordentlich freundlichen Einheimischen ins Gespräch zu kommen. Fazit: Ich kann die Schule nur empfehlen, die Kurse sind ihr Geld wert.

Fantastic experience: Es war ein sehr guter Englischkurs. Besonders die Abwechslung zwischen Lektionen in der Schule und Ausflügen in die Stadt mit sehr guten Erklärungen und immer wieder neuen Themen hat mir zugesagt.Ich konnte den Lehrern mühelos folgen bezüglich Sprache,weil sie ein sehr deutliches Englisch gesprochen haben und neue Begriffe gut erklären konnten.Die kleinen Gruppen (max 5 Personen) waren super!

Fantastic experience: Die Schule war ein wunderbarer Ort um einen 4-wöchigen Sprachkurs zu verbringen. Ich hatte 2 Wochen Einzelstunden und 2 Wochen Edinburgh Experience, was eine sehr gute Kombination war. Die Lehrer waren alle sehr nett, kompetent und engagiert. Die Schule wird bestens geführt und es gab Hilfestellungen für alle Fragen, die den Aufenthalt insgesamt betreffen. Edinburgh Experience habe ich mit einer internationalen kleinen Gruppe von insgesamt 5 Personen verbracht. Wir hatten viel Spaß zusammen. Die Exkursionen waren interessant, abwechslungsreich und unterhaltsam und führten in spannende Ecken der Stadt und Umgebung. Die Lage der Schule in der New Town ist sehr zentral und gut erreichbar. Ich kann ECS uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es war eine tolle, spannende und aufregende Zeit.

Fantastic experience: Ciao a tutti Sono appena rientrata da Edimburgo dove ho studiato inglese presso ECS Scotland. Una piccola scuola familiare che offre dei corsi per piccoli gruppi (al massimo 5 persone per gruppo). Il corso che ho scelto si chiama Experience Edimburgh General English. Al mattino due ore filate in aula per migliorare la comprensione e il Parlare con un docente che ti corregge e puntualizza elementi di grammatica. Al pomeriggio 3,5 ore con un altro docente si visita la città i vari quartieri con tematiche sempre diverse. Stimolante e adatto per chi ha intenzione di migliorare le attitudini comunicative. Ve lo consiglio!

Fantastic experience: Die Schule ist sehr zentral gelegen. Die Klassen sind i.d.R. mit max. 5 Peronen besetzt. Dadurch war der Unterricht bei Lindsay sehr intensiv, man lernte sehr viel und hat dazu noch viel Spaß dabei. Die Exkursionen mit Andy waren hervorragend, wir haben sehr viel über Edinburgh und Schottland sowie die Geschichte gelernt. Wir waren an wunderschönen Plätzen, die kaum von Touristen besucht werden. Die gesamte Schule ist sehr familiär, während der Pause kommt man unmittelbar mit anderen 'Schülern' ins Gespräch. Es war für mich ein besonderes Erlebnis, dort zu lernen und hat meine Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen. Für weitere Englischkurse wüsste ich keine bessere Alternative!

Fantastic experience: Ich kann mich den meisten Vorrednern nur anschliessen: Familiär und persönlich. Unser Lehrer Andy, sehr belesen, ging auf alle Fehler sofort ein und freute sich aber auch über Anregungen von uns (drei Schüler in der Gruppe). Wir hatten alle vier unseren Spass und drei haben ganz schön was dazugelernt. Nach der üblichen Tee- und Kaffeetalkrunde ging es in die City mit Lindsay, die uns tolle Ecken zeigte und uns neben den Hotspots in schöne Pubs zum Lunch führte. Auch Lindsay hatte vorher gut recherchiert und konnte uns interessante Sachen zeigen und Geschichten erzählen. Rest des Nachmittags zur eigenen Verfügung. Meine Hostfamily in Portobello passte perfekt zu mir, Zufall oder Fügung, wer weiss. Ich kann es nur empfehlen...

Positive experience: Great city, lovely people, cosy little school with family-like atmosphere; well organized with a lot of support and plenty of upfront information; teaching lessons focus on practical relevance and effective ways of communication; teachers show great spirit when moderating the fruitful discussions about most recent political and social topics! Thank you very much for two outstanding weeks, which will be hard to forget. I keep only wonderful memories! Please note: Actually, a 5-star evaluation, however, I was told that Germans never give full score! ;)

Fantastic experience: Die Schule ist sehr zu empfehlen: nette Trainer, kleine Gruppe, zentral gelegen, schöne Räumlichkeiten. Vor allem sind die Trainer auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und die Kombination von Aktivitäten und Lernen ist top. Tipps und freiwillige Unternehmungen nach den Kursen gibt es auch noch.

Fantastic experience: A friend and me booked ECS Scotland for a week in a small group and had a fantastic time. Great team at ECS who are really motivated, friendly and helpful. The lessons were really good and the walks around Edinburgh with Elena in the afternoons were great fun. There was also the opportunity to do some socialising after class e.g. walk to a local pub or visit Leith harbour. Thanks to the whole ECS team. I definitly would come again

Fantastic experience: My experience at ECS Scotland has been wonderful. Greigs and Lindsay, as well as Jane, Laura, and Flora, welcomed us with open arms and were always willing to help and teach. This experience has exceeded my expectations in terms of classroom management. It fosters constant and natural dialogue with other students and teachers. Additionally, you have the opportunity to continue your classes outside, learning about the city's history while walking through Edinburgh. It's a very enjoyable way to achieve this. Fantastic experience: Remek 30+ nyelviskola Edinburgh szívében. Családias hely, barátságos és felkészült oktatók. Minden nap 11 körül közös kávészünet, sokat lehet gyakorolni a nyelvet különböző kultúrákból érkezett emberekkel. Városnézéssel, jógával és rajzzal gazdagított kurzusokat is kínál az alap és személyre szabott nyelvoktatás mellett. A nyelvtanfolyam ideje alatt helyi lakhatást is ajánlanak skót családoknál, ami külön élmény és lehetőség megismerni közelebbről a skót kultúrát. Edinburgh csodálatos város és csak ajánlani tudom, hogy az ECS Scotland nyelviskola tanulójaként felfedezzék!

Fantastic experience: Although I took only a two-week English course in ECS Scotland, I really enjoyed learning and spending my time in Edinburgh. The school is very well situated in the heart of the city. All the teachers are very professional, clear with their explanations and very flexible. You have this sensation of being taken care of from beginning to end with an individual approach. A friendly, familial and I would say a kind of "distinguished" atmosphere reins upon all the school, especially during traditional tea brake with all the teachers (Yes, sometimes I could really feel as a member or royal family!) Even if you a single traveler like me, at some point you may feel a bit at a loss traveling abroad alone and visiting the big "Auld Reekie". In my opinion a language course gives you that real opportunity to share the experience with somebody who comes from another culture and also wants to learn and share something unique and unforgettable with the locals. I definitively recommend this experience.

Fantastic experience: I spent 3 weeks at ECS Scotland learning English. The group classes are very small (up to 5 people) so the lessons are very individual. I took Experience Edinburgh classes and I learnt a lot not only about Edinburgh but also Scotland and UK, too. The teacher (Greg) was excellent, he had an unbelievable knowledge of history. I liked these classes as I learnt without knowing it. I also had Communication at work classes which were very practical and useful for the business life. And the individual classes were my favourite. Jane focused on my problems in English and explained everything. Every teacher at school was great and I really improved my English. As this is very small school I felt like visiting friends. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel like home. Thank you Jane, Laura, Flora, Greg, Elena and Lindsay! You make your school unforgettable. If I have chance I will definitely return back.

Fantastic experience: La experiencia mereció la pena. Todo el equipo, tanto la dirección como los profesores, son muy profesionales y me hicieron sentir como en casa. Yo realice el curso Edinburgh Experience y me gustó mucho como está programado: las dos primeras horas en la escuela, ampliando vocabulario y mejorando la comunicación oral, y después cada día visitamos diferentes zonas de Edimburgo, poniendo en práctica lo aprendido. Además, la escuela tenia un programa social, que cada día ofrecía diferentes actividades acompañados por profesores: me encantó la charla en el pub. Creo que todo el equipo, más allá del curso, se esfuerza para que tengamos una buena experiencia.

Fantastic experience: ECS Scotland school is incomparable with any other school I’ve ever attended. There is a family-friendly atmosphere where you have the invaluable opportunity to chat with teachers and school’s members during coffee and lunch break. The lessons are really interactive and teachers are outstanding and well-prepared. I appreciated the arrangement for my course, 1-1 lessons and small group lessons (max. 5 students), as well as class with adults aged 30+. In the afternoon, you can walk around the town surrounded by beautiful architectures and keep speaking English.

Fantastic experience: I finished the English language course at ECS Scotland today. And I'm amazed. Starting with the level of the teachers and their approach to the students, the approach of the owner of the school Ms. Jane McKinlay and her daughter Flora, and ending with the shared moments over coffee and tea, where all the students meet with the teachers every day. I felt at home. I improved my English and still enjoyed five beautiful weeks in the city of Edinburgh. I will remember for many years.

Fantastic experience: Eine sehr gute Schule, die sehr zentral gelegen ist. Es gibt max. 5 Schüler in einer Klasse. Wir waren sogar nur zu zweit. Nach 2 Stunden Unterricht, gibt es eine 30 minütige Pause im Aufenthaltsraum. Dort gibt es Kaffee/Tee und Gebäck. Danach sind wir Edinburgh erkunden gewesen und haben um 14 Uhr zusammen Mittag gegessen. Bei der täglichen Tour haben wir neue Ecken von Edinburgh erkundet und dabei habe ich viele interessante Fakten über die Stadt erfahren. Ich war leider nur eine Woche da. Ich kann die Schule zu 100% empfehlen. Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht.

Fantastic experience: Ich hatte im September den „Experience Edinburgh“ Kurs besucht und bin immer noch ganz begeistert. Die LehrerInnen waren alle hoch motiviert und sehr sympathisch. Im Kurs waren wir zu zweit und konnten so sehr viel Englisch sprechen. Unser Lehrer ist auf all unsere kulturellen und grammatikalischen Fragen eingegangen, die sich im Verlauf des Tages im Gespräch mit Muttersprachlern in Edinburgh ergeben hatten. So konnte ich daran arbeiten, ein kleines bisschen mehr wie eine Muttersprachlerin zu klingen. Vor allem das Arbeiten an der Tonalität sowie die Verwendung der gebräuchlichen Vokabeln und das vermehrte Benutzen von Adjektiven haben mich hier vorangebracht. Mit tollen Tipps konnte mir unser Lehrer die richtige Anwendung der grammatikalischen Zeiten näher bringen. Ein Highlight waren auch immer die nachmittäglichen Spaziergänge durch Edinburgh. Hier habe ich viel über Land, Leute und geschichtliche Hintergründe erfahren. Die ganze Zeit wurde Englisch gesprochen und bei Vokabel- oder Grammatikfehlern wurde ich stets freundlich korrigiert. Rundum ein gelungener Bildungsurlaub, den ich auf jeden Fall uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my stay in Edinburgh, attending a class at the ECS and living with a host family, very much. The lessons in the morning were very interesting and really helped me to improve my English. After two hours in class in a small and very nice group I attended "the walk and talk"-lessons in the afternoon and that was very good choice, getting to know Edinburgh better than "normal" tourists, having nice talks and by the way having further lessons. Concerning my host Salwa I couldn't have been more fortunate. I felt most welcome and had many nice and interesting talks with her at breakfast and in the evenings.

Fantastic experience: Ich hatte den zehntägigen Experience Edinburgh Course gebucht und kann ihn wärmstens empfehlen. Am Vormittag wird in Kleingruppen das Sprechen geübt, wonach eine kurze Tee- bzw. Kaffeepause folgt. Ab Mittag finden Exkursionen in die Stadt statt, bei denen man viel über die Geschichte, Kultur, Politik und Architektur Edinburghs lernt. Hier geht es vor allem um das Zuhören und Verstehen, wobei die Touren häufig abseits der Tourihotspots entlang führen. Dadurch gelangt man an interessante Orte, die man als Tourist vermutlich nicht so einfach finden würde. Die Lehrer sind dabei ebenso nett wie kompetent und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Nachmittags hat man dann noch genügend Zeit für eigene Unternehmungen. In Summe eine sehr schöne Erfahrung.

Fantastic experience: Small, family-run language school with a unique flair. I was there for a week and attended a Business English class. The time I spent there was great. The classes are very small, 3 to 6 people, and there is a lot on offer which makes the stay really enjoyable. After the course, we usually went out together and explored the city. I can definitely recommend it!

Fantastic experience: This is just great. The experience of the teachers, the individualization of a lesson by the teacher for any specific needs or requests is phenomenal. In a calm environment and and personal choice of lectures our English will improve in just the right pace. Located within walking distance of the city center you have plenty of options to get there and to do all kinds of things once lessons are over. Edinburgh is one of the nicest cities on the British mainland. Cafes, historical sites, museums and the touristy stuff like the castle or Harry Potter related sites are waiting to be explored. So, go, learn some appropriate English and enjoy live with these friendly people.

Fantastic experience: An excellent experience, both life and learning. There are many reasons why I enjoyed it. The school is only attended by adults and I met people who had the same interests as me. The teachers are very professional and attentive to the needs of individual students. Furthermore, Laura's welcome was perfect from the first email. She makes you feel at home. The choice of Edinburgh was also right, it is a city that immediately enters your heart. The host family that the school found was the best I could imagine. I returned home and think of the month I spent there as one of the best times of my life. They were also very welcoming towards my ecological interrail project. I reached Edinburgh starting from Italy by train. This is also an experience that I recommend to everyone.

Negative experience: Zwar kleine und auch private Kurse mit z. B. einem tollen Lehrer wie Andy, aber egal, wie viele andere einem ein C1-Niveau bestätigen, Schulleiterin Jane gibt nie mehr als ein B2 und begründet gern mit sehr harscher Kritik. Jane nimmt es auch übel, wenn man in den Pausen die Schule verlässt, Individualismus ist da nicht gern gesehen. Bei Jane macht auch der Unterricht leider keinen Spaß.

Fantastic experience: I chose the 2-week Explore Edinburgh course and I'd highly recommend it if you want to improve your listening and speaking skills as well as learn about the city. I enjoyed my lessons with Kevin and also the Explore Edinburgh tours with Belle. She took us to really nice places around the city and I learnt a lot of things about Scottish history (Mary of Scots!). I was in Edinburgh in August so the Fringe Festival was a big thing (it makes the city busier, louder...), so I really appreciated that some days we went far away from the Old Town. From my first email with ECS, I felt very comfortable and they did everything they could to help me. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: Not a day goes by that I don't think back longingly to Scotland and the people I got to know and appreciate during my two-week stay in June at this excellent language school in Edinburgh. In addition to the educational and, above all, entertaining and valuable lessons in the small groups in the mornings, the excursions with the enchanting Belle in the afternoons were a unique opportunity to experience Scotland's and Edinburgh's history and heritage in a particularly enjoyable way. Fantastic experience: I studied at this school from December 2021 to January 2022. The teachers were very kind and patient in their lessons. I was impressed by the principal who taught me that it is important not only to learn a language but also to deepen mutual understanding in different cultures. Edinburgh is a safe and beautiful city, and it is a great place to study. I would highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: ※下に日本語版もあります※ I stayed more than four months in the principal house during lockdown. It might haven't the best time to study abroad though, the princpal and teachers did everything they could do for me. Thanks to them, I had the best study abroad I've ever had even in the difficult time. They cooked me delicious scottish food, told me their fascinating culture, took me to many beautiful places and gave me opportunities to talk to other people as much as they could. (They introduced me to their friends and relatives!) I highly recommend this school to people who look for a school which adds a personal touch. Fantastic experience: I studied for several months at this school. I met lots of people from different countries, and studied not only English but also differences of culture. You can go on an excursion and visit a local place every Wednesday. It's a great experience to know real Edinburgh. My host families and teachers were very kind, friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: Escola familiar situada al centre de la New Town d'Edinburgh. Tracte acollidor i professional. Vaig triar aquesta escola perquè permetia fer cursos intensius de només una setmana i perquè està enfocada a adults. Els grups són de màxim cinc persones i tens l'opció de fer sessions 1-to-1 personalitzades. Es fa una excursió setmanal. El professorat molt amable i cordial. En general, molt bona experiència.

The school was great, teachers, trips, schoolmates-just met all my highest expectations. Host family superb, Edinburgh absolutely beautiful and Scotland as a country breathtaking. People are very friendly and the atmosphere in the school is really positive and familiar. The teachers gave me such a comfortable feeling in the class and they are skill in their job and they love to do their job. The location of the school is excellent in the center of Edinburgh. Fantastic experience: Spent 4 weeks at the school and had great time. ECS is small, family-run school located in very centre of beautiful Edinburgh. Since groups are small (5 maximum, 3-4 on average) one can fully take advantage of the course. And while it’s school for adults, there is no risk you will find yourself surrounding by teenagers. Teachers are nice, have great sense of humour, provide plenty of useful information about the city and Scotland and by chance they… speak English. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!! I selected 5 stars just because is not possible to click 6. I have spent 2 months in the school and it was the best experience of my life. The most beautiful thing is that there is an amazing atmosphere in the school! Everybody is selected from the management is polite and friendly, so it's really easy to meet new friends from worldwide. Really useful the breaks in the morning and afternoon, because is possible to have many interesting chats with everyone is in the living room. The quality of teachers is excellent: I had almost every teacher staying for a long time, and I learnt a lot from all of them, also because they correct you in a very friendly way! The IELTS course is particularly recommended: I was terrified by the idea of doing the exam before coming in Edinburgh, but at the end of the course I did the exam really prepared and so convinced that it was impossible to fail. We focused in deep on listening,writing,reading and speaking either in the morning or in the afternoon. Finally, groups are composed by 5 PEOPLE AT MOST! and it's really easy to learn and speak continuously, feeling part of the lesson as well. Moreover, teachers suggest several sites and items to study on your own once you are back in your country. Really recommended host families as well! They are all families in which you'd like to live for the rest of your life! I miss ECS SCOTLAND a lot! I will definitely come back!! Gianluca
