Fantastic experience: I transferred from the Oxford branch because I was not satisfied with the overall experience and I found it difficult to fully improve my English. Since I moved here, I have felt more confident and motivated. I am truly happy with this school. The quality of education is significantly better, and I am extremely satisfied with my teachers. They are incredibly supportive, professional, and always encouraging. My teacher Hasna is extremely supportive and always helps me improve my English. I also really appreciate Phil and Valentina for their professionalism and continuous support. If you are unsure which branch to choose, I would highly recommend the Edinburgh branch. It offers amazing social activities, a rich cultural and historical atmosphere, and constant exposure to English, which really helps you improve faster. Overall, the school is outstanding in every way, and I feel very lucky to be here.

The teachers are highly skilled, patient, and always encouraging, making every lesson engaging and effective. Classes are well-structured, interactive, and full of practical activities that make learning English both natural and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and international: I met people from all over the world and felt part of a real community. The staff is kind and supportive, always ready to help with academic questions as well as practical advice for living in the city. In just two months, I noticed a huge improvement in my English and, most importantly, gained confidence in speaking. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn English in a professional, inspiring, and welcoming environment. Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this institute. The teaching quality was poor, many teachers were unprofessional, and I was not placed in the correct language level. The worst part was my final week with one teacher who treated me unfairly and differently from other students. She lowered my grades without reason, and I strongly believe her behavior was discriminatory. After studying seriously for the whole course, it was extremely unfair to be evaluated by someone who was biased and disrespectful. This was not the supportive learning environment I expected, and I would not recommend this institute to others. This institute only cares about money and not about the students. Their customer service is very poor, and they make students stay far outside the city so we have to spend more money on transportation. They also gave me many promises when I registered, but none of them were true. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and I do not recommend this place at all.

Fantastic experience: Ho frequentato la scuola nell'agosto del 2025, la consiglio vivamente. Oltre agli insegnanti assolutamente fantastici, c è un'atmosfera bellissima e familiare. Sono previste attività sociali nel pomeriggio e c è una sala break con sempre a disposizione caffè, the e altro. La scuola è piccolina e questo permette ai nuovi studenti di essere da subito ben seguiti . Inoltre è centralissima è molto ben collegata con bus e il tram. Spero di tornare !

Negative experience: Pague 1200€ a finales de noviembre. Ellos me dijeron que todo estaba bien . Y hoy me dicen que la escuela quiebra y pierdo mi dinero. Sin escuela ni nada . Horrible . No nos dan ayuda. En la wed dice que la escuela sigue abierta pero el teléfono no funciona

Fantastic experience: Cours en petits groupes. Enseignants compétents et attentifs. Des activités sont proposées pour l'après-midi. Je recommande cette école, qui plus est est située hypercentre, ce qui permet de bien profiter d'Edinburgh.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking Japanese lessons at International House for about year and a half now, and, thanks to their continued enthusiasm and passion for languages, visiting the school has continued to be a total joy. Fantastic experience: Honestly the best language center I have ever been to. Most of the students are (more or less young) and the staff is extremely helpful and professional. I would go back there everytime. You get different teachers every now and then to have a high variety of teaching-styles and accents. Extremely familiar experience.

Fantastic experience: In August 2023, I spent a week at International House Edinburgh (formerly Inlingua Edinburgh) in order to improve my English skills for the IELTS exam. I attended the general English course in the morning and took private lessons in the afternoon. I booked the course via Julia from the front office, which was very agreeable and easy. The teachers at the school are very friendly but also very competent. A special thanks to Wendy and Marc who prepared me well for my IELTS exam! I took the exam in September and was able to get the score I needed.

Fantastic experience: Ich habe hier eine Woche Bildungsurlaub gemacht. Mein Level war C1. Die Schule ist gut organisiert, der Unterricht ging vormittags von 09:00 Uhr bis 12:15 Uhr (mit 15 Pause zwischendurch) und nachmittags von 13:15 Uhr bis 14:45 Uhr. Der Fokus im Unterricht lag auf dem Verstehen und Sprechen, das war sehr gut. Meine Lehrer waren sehr vielseitig gebildet und wir haben viel über Schottland gelernt, über englische Sprache und auch mal philosophische und aktuelle politische Themen geredet statt nur Übungen aus dem Lehrbuch zu machen. So machte das richtig Spaß, weil ich viel mehr als nur Englisch gelernt habe und auch die schottische Kultur vermittelt wurde. Gut fand ich auch, dass meine Gruppe Teilnehmer aus verschiedenen Ländern hatte und wir einen guten Austausch untereinander hatten. Es gibt auch täglich Nachmittags-Aktivitäten: Stadtführungen, Museumsbesuche, Pub-Nights u.ä. Die Lage der Schule ist sehr zentral mit Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ich war bei einer Gast-Mutter untergebracht, vermittelt von der Schule, dort hat es mir auch gut gefallen und ich habe nochmal mehr Einblicke in das Alltagsleben bekommen und auch vor und nach der Schule englisch gesprochen. Ich kann die Schule wirklich empfehlen, auch im Vergleich mit anderen Sprachschulen.

Fantastic experience: Im März 2023 habe ich einen Englischkurs bei Inlingua Edinburgh gemacht. Das Lernen in der kleinen Gruppe mit Studenten aus verschiedenen Ländern und kulturellem Hintergrund war sehr abwechslungsreich. Die professionelle Methode, unterstützt von verschiedenen Medien, lies die Zeit im Flug vergehen. Wir haben kontrovers diskutiert, im Team gearbeitet und neues Vokabular gelernt immer unterstützt von unseren sehr engagierten Lehrern. Am Nachmittag gab es ein tolles „Social Programme“, es galt die Stadt zu entdecken, begleitet von Lehrern der Schule. Vielen lieben Dank an das inlingua Team (Orga und Lehrer) für die tolle Zeit bei Euch, man fühlt sich bei euch als Teil der Familie . As someone with minimal knowledge in the language I was going to be learning I was originally quite anxious but after only a few classes I had become very comfortable in the environment. I've been trying to learn Spanish for a while myself and this class has helped improve my ability and confidence massively.

Fantastic experience: A week ago, I attended an English course at inlingua Edinburgh. The overall atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. In my course, there were three other students and we got along very well. Our teachers, one Scottish and one Australian, were brilliant. As we were in an advanced class, we worked a lot on vocabulary. Our errors in grammar and vocabulary we were discussed in a way that never made us feel bad. During the breaks we got together with all the other students from quite a few different countries, which was a lot of fun. Friday is "cookies Friday". Inglingua provided them, including gluten free cookies which I think is a very nice thought (one of my friends is allergic to gluten, she would have loved it)! So, very good teachers, an atmosphere that makes you feel very welcome and free exercises - climbing the stairs became easier every day. For me, inlingua Edinburgh is the best language school so far!

Fantastic experience: La mejor escuela de inglés para estudiar unas semanas en Edimburgo. No solo porque la inmersión sea total gracias al método de las clases, los profesores y el personal son muy amables y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites. Cada cierto tiempo cambias de profesor con un acento diferente! El primer día, después de las clases, hacen un encuentro en un parque para conocer mejor a tus compañeros! y el resto de días organizan paseos por la ciudad, cata de whisky, baile escocés, museos, etc. Tanto si tu nivel es un B1 como un C1 y quieres mejorarlo, recomiendo mucho esta escuela. Lugar LGTBI friendly.

Les effectifs réduits dans les classes permettent aux enseignants de se soucier de chaque étudiant et donc de progresser plus rapidement en anglais, que ce soit à l’oral ou à l’écrit. De plus, les enseignants sont extrêmement compétents et très pédagogues. Grâce à Inlingua, j’ai pu faire connaissance avec des étudiants du monde entier. En effet, l’école propose un programme social avec des activités culturelles très variées, ce qui permet d'enrichir ses connaissances sur Édimbourg et l’Écosse, de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et ainsi de continuer à pratiquer son anglais. Enfin, je remercie chaleureusement l’équipe d’Inlingua Edinburgh pour leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. Al principio de la semana te dan el planning con los contenidos que vas a ver y tienes 2 o 3 profesores diferentes así cambias formas de enseñar, acentos,... Los grupos de alumnos son reducidos, unos 8, lo cual está genial para hablar mucho, preguntar dudas,...He practicado un montón la expresión oral con gente de diferentes paises, diferentes acentos y actividades muy variadas. Desde el punto de vista administrativo son eficaces y muy amables. La verdad es que todo el equipo administrativo y didáctico me ha gustado mucho. Os recomiendo esta escuela.

Le persone che lavorano sono molto gentili e ti fanno sentire come a casa fin da subito! Ogni richiesta viene subito presa in considerazione e tutti sono pronti ad aiutarti! Dal punto di vista sociale ho molto apprezzato il fatto che la scuola era piccola e quindi tutti si conoscono, la bella atmosfera che si crea nella caffetteria durante le pause e le interessanti attività in giro per la città che vengono proposte dopo le lezioni! Dal punto di vista scolastico mi è piaciuto molto che i maestri cambiavano ogni 2-3 giorni! In questo modo abbiamo visto diversi tipi di insegnamento, diverse accento e anche diverse personalità! La gentilezza dei docenti e degli altri membri dello staff é sicuramente il fattore più importante che mi ha fatto apprezzare il mio soggiorno di 2 mesi all'Inlingua! Si vede che ci tengono agli studenti e che si impegnano per garantire un meraviglioso soggiorno linguistico!

Fantastic experience: My 6 weeks at Inlingua were amazing! I learned so much and I loved how the teachers always found a way to challenge and motivate us. The rotation system at Inlingua is great. This way, you get familiar with different teachers, their accents and teaching style. I also enjoyed all the social activities. It was so much fun that some of the teachers joined us during these activities, because it was nice to get to know them outside of the classroom as well. All in all, if you want to improve your English and have a great time while doing this, I would definitely recommend going to Inlingua. Positive experience: I had a very nice and memorable time at Inlingua . Interesting topics came up in class and the free guided social activities after class were very informative. The break room had a comfortable atmosphere and the snacks kept our motivation up! You can always find people to do stuff with after class (you never run out of things to do in Edinburgh!) and make friends.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking group evening classes in Beginner's Japanese with Inlingua for the past two years. The team are incredibly friendly and helpful; accommodating online attendance during Covid lockdowns and a hybrid model as restrictions eased. The group size is small so you get plenty of 1:1 time with the teachers, lots of speaking practice and my class group is very sociable. Miho our Japanese teacher is excellent; very friendly, patient with our mistakes and willing to bring in additional material to clarify points when we ask off-topic questions. Highly recommended for beginners in foreign languages!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking one-to-one Spanish lessons (one hour a week) with Inlingua online since January 2021. It’s been an amazing experience and I can’t quite believe how much progress I’ve made, from total beginner at the start. My teacher, Maria, is BRILLIANT - honestly I think the best language teacher I’ve ever had (I did French at school, and have taken a year of Japanese, a semester of German and some Mandarin classes previously. I was apprehensive about online learning, but you get used to it quickly and Maria’s relaxed, easygoing nature quickly helped me overcome my ingrained nervousness around making mistakes. I wanted to make a good amount of progress quickly, before moving into group classes, and that’s exactly what I’ve managed to do. What I hadn’t expected was that I’d fall in love with language learning - Maria’s patience and expert knowledge of grammar (and how to explain it to Brits who don’t get taught linguistics/grammar at school) have made the experience immensely enjoyable. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and dealing with the Inlingua office team has been seamless too. ¡Muchas gracias Maria - estoy enamorada del español!

Fantastic experience: I took a few private lessons for German before going over to meet my girlfriend's family for the first time. My teacher was a lovely woman called Laura, who helped me to feel at ease with helping me at my own pace and not pushing to far to fast. I would definitely consider more lessons in the future.

Da un punto di vista scolastico ho avuto la fortuna di studiare con 4 professori diversi e complementari tra loro, il che mi ha dato la possibilità di apprendere nel migliore dei modi. Nel tempo libero, nonostante le varie limitazioni, il ragazzo che si occupa dell'accoglienza (Regis) è sempre stato molto carino e cordiale cercando di coinvolgerci il più possibile in qualche attività. Anche gli altri membri dello staff sono sempre stati disponibilissimi per qualsiasi cosa. Se state pensando di fare questa esperienza, fatela perché ne varrà la pena

Fantastic experience: I stayed at the language school "Inlingua" in Edinburgh for two months, where I had a great time even during Covid19. The teachers are very motivated to enhance your language and bring in an enormous effort to help every single student. I always had the opportunity to ask for additional help and material to improve my language skills. Additionally we always had really interesting discussions about a huge variety of social, political and cultural topics during class. The atmosphere in the class, as well as during breaks were warming and pleasant. Everyone wanted to help and enable me a fun, educational and positive time during my stay. I had never the feeling of not wanting to join class at the next day. If you want to improve your language well and have fun on the same time, I would definitely recommend the language school "Inlingua" in Edinburgh.

Ich fand die Woche sehr interessant, ich habe vieles dazu gelernt, aber auch gelernt wo die Schwerpunkte meiner Schwächen im Englisch liegen. Die da wären, Grammatik und Vokabular. Also hat die Woche mir wirklich etwas gebracht. Auch euer Hygienekonzept ist sehr gut und wirklich durchgängig, wobei das meiner Meinung nach für ganz Edinburgh gilt. Es sind die Laufwege geregelt um den Mindestabstand einzuhalten, es besteht Masken oder Schutzschild Pflicht, es wird ständig gelüftet und es sind überall Handdesinfektionsmittel vorhanden. Besser geht es nicht. Ich finde Covid 19 wird bei euch viel ernster genommen als in Deutschland. Ich habe mich auch ansonsten in meiner Unterkunft (ich hatte ein Appartment) und in der Stadt sicher und wohl gefühlt. Bezüglich Mark und David, meinen beiden Lehrer ein großes Lob. Beide haben einen tollen Job gemacht. Besonders gut hat mir gefallen, daß beide die Schüler reden lassen, bestimmte Sätze aufzuschreiben und dann die Fehler zu korrigieren. So kann man wirklich was lernen. Ich hatte sowohl Vormittags als auch Nachmittags Unterricht. Der Vormittag war mehr der Grammatikteil und am Nachmittag war mehr die freie Rede der Schwerpunkt. Die Klassen waren klein und die Betreuung sehr intensiv, besser geht es nicht. Die Atmosphäre in euer Schule ist sehr sehr freundlich und fast familiär. Also alles in Allem für mich ein Volltreffer und Edinburgh als Stadt ist natürlich ebenfalls der absolute Burner. Für mich eine der interessantesten Städte in UK außer vielleicht London, aber da würde man Äpfel mit Birnen vergleichen. Ich bin wirklich am Überlegen ob ich nächstes Jahr nochmal komme. Fantastic experience: Прошел месяц как я вернулась домой после 4 месяцев обучения в Шотландии в inlingua Edinburgh. Это был невероятный опыт, я улучшила свой разговорный английский, завела новых друзей, узнавала новое и развивалась. Здесь работают добрые и профессиональные учителя. The omnipresent friendliness and willingness to help was something I had never met before. The lessons and the afternoon activities were full of new information for me. One week there was not enough! Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the course that suited my needs. The teachers are very competent, helpful and kind. School is great. It's nice that you can drink coffee or tea during the break. There is even coffee milk, and on Fridays they serve sweets. There is sightseeing every day after class.

Fantastic experience: I was on a one-week Erasmus Plus Teacher Training course and I strongly recommend this school. The classes they offer are beyond expectations. Language classes, methodology classes and cultural programme are very well prepared and run by expert teachers. I had the pleasure of participating in classes with Marc, Mark, Phil and Greg. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. It's a pity I couldn't sign up for a two-week course.

Fantastic experience: Polecam szkołę wszystkim nauczycielom/i nie tylko/, którzy chcieliby polepszyć swoje umiejętności w mówieniu. Byłam na kursie w lipcu i wróciłam zadowolona. Zajęcia były prowadzone w małych grupach, byliśmy podzieleni zgodnie z naszymi oczekiwaniami, nauczyciele bardzo zaangażowani, zmieniali się co trzy dni, co było urozmaiceniem. Zajęcia bardzo dobrze prowadzone. Miałam wreszcie okazje porozmawiać z native 'speakerami', dużo ciekawych zajęć. W cenie kursu były też wycieczki po zajęciach. Edinburgh to piękne miasto, a szkoła mieści się w samym centrum. Więc oceniłabym kurs w Edinburgh na 5+,atmosfera fantastyczna

Fantastic experience: Nadal jestem pod wrażeniem mojego dwutygodniowego pobytu w Edynburgu i zajęć prowadzonych przez doskonałych nauczycieli w Inlingua Edinburgh Language School.To był wspaniały czas, gdy mogłam zwiedzić i poznać historię Szkocji, poznać również wielu ciekawych ludzi z różnych stron świata. Świetnie prowadzone zajęcia pozwoliły uświadomić sobie w jakim stopniu znam j. Angielski i opanować go znacznie lepiej. Znakomite metody i techniki, bardzo komunikatywni nauczyciele--polecam każdemu tę szkołę. Panuje tam świetna atmosfera i dbałość o studentów. Organizowano wiele wycieczek i zajęć pozalekcyjnych w towarzystwie wykładowców. Było ciekawie i sympatycznie. Szkoda, że mój pobyt trwał tak krótko ‍♀️

I have participated in a two-week Erasmus+ Technology in the Classroom (ICT)and Enhanced English skills course at Advanced level. Experienced, inspiring, passionate teachers created student friendly atmosphere. Everybody felt free and encouraged to participate in English conversations. ICT classes opened the door for modern and creative solutions to be used in every classroom. There is no better way to engage your students using Adobe Spark in creating your online diary or playing educational games using Quizlet, EdPuzzle, Socrative, Tiki-Toki, Lyrics Training. Alan helped me prepare my CPE with a few private lessons as I needed to meet when my timetable allowed and to focus on my specific needs. It worked! I passed with a Grade A (222 out of 230)!!! Fantastic experience: Hellooooo there!!! Guess it's the perfect moment to leave a little note here! Indeed, I've juste received the postcard I had sent to me in Martinique from Edinburgh. Actually, I had sent it on April, 15th (do you remember Alan? Choosing "Europe" at the post office eventually worked, yay!) Anyway, I enjoyed two wonderful weeks in inlingua and Edinburgh. I'm missing The Water of Leith and its heady aroma of red stones that leads you to Damside, its frothy waters that remind you that nothing can be hidden too long for they always become still again. Somehow. Someway. Its scents of sweating slaves and servants, sweeting the uprising aristocracy and the micro maelstrom engulfing hate, blood and self-denied crimes. The castle, where it all started. The never bending blackened boastful buildings. The newly designed streets inhaling people’s unknown and unborn utopias.The splendor of the statues and sandstones sanctuaries. And the cemetery. Just around the corner. The living cemetery everyone walks along and walks on. The graves gloating from the very depth of their throat they can’t be taken off. Twigs and stalks flitting between growing up and sticking to the ground. Thank to all the teachers for their help, their dedication, their warmth, their generous sharing of the Scottish culture and at last but not least, their ability to make us feel confident about our command of English, without which I wouldn't have been able to write the descriptions above. Thanks to the members of the staff who, from the very first email to the very last phone call (thank you MarK) made every thing possible and everything possible to satisfy any need and find the appropriate class for me.
